Reductions in Seniority.
Flying Officer Jack Sandford Nelson (T.A.F.) is sentenced by General Court-Martial to take rank and precedence as if his appointment as Flying Officer bore date the 1st December, 1940.
Pilot Officer John Desmond Baw (Temporary Commission) is sentenced by General Court-Martial to take rank and precedence as if his appointment as Pilot Officer bore date the 11th August, 1941.

Donald Mackinnon Wood, Esquire, of Melbourne, in the State of Victoria, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, has this day been appointed by the Right Honourable Sir Michael Myers, G.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the State of Victoria under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

SPECIAL ORDER.
Resolution passed at a special meeting of the Springs County Council held on the 17th day of April, 1941.
Moved by Councillor J. S. Simpson (Chairman),
Seconded by Councillor C. H. Watson.
“WHEREAS under and by virtue of section 121 of the Counties Act, 1920, it is provided that the Council shall make and levy the general rates separately in each riding of the county, and by section 131 of the said Act provision is also made for apportioning the estimated income among several ridings of the county in proportion to the total income estimated to be received from each riding in respect to general rates: And whereas subsection (1) of section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, provides that the Council of any county may by special order declare that the said sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, as aforesaid, shall not apply to the Council: And whereas the Springs County Council is desirous of adopting the provisions of the said Counties Amendment Act, 1931, relating to sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920: Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, as aforesaid, the Springs County
