Officers authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Dudley Tennant Louis Coward, Postmaster, Havelock.
Michael Patrick Anderson, Chief Clerk, Post-office, Invercargill.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that James Bryce Jackson, being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Engineer, Public Works Department, at Jacksons Bay, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 27th day of August, 1941.

Notice of Intention to issue an Order in Council changing the Purpose of the Reservation over Part of the Conway Domain, Canterbury Land District.

WHEREAS by section forty-one of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time by Order in Council, but subject to compliance with the requirements of subsection two of section seven of the said Act, declare that the land comprised in a public domain or part thereof shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act; and, further, may declare either that such land shall be a public reserve for the purposes of Part I of the said Act, or Crown land available for disposal by way of sale for cash under the Land Act, 1924:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is part of the Conway Domain but is not required for domain purposes, and it is expedient to change the purpose of the reservation over the said land to a site for an aerodrome:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby give notice pursuant to subsection two of section seven of the said Act that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of section forty-one of the said Act declaring that the part of the Conway Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act, and shall be deemed to be a reserve for a site for an aerodrome.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—PART OF CONWAY DOMAIN.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, and being Reserve 3835 (formerly Section 46, Conway Village Settlement), situated in Block XII, Hawkswood Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by Carnarvon Road, 1348·0 links; towards the east by Section 47, Conway Village Settlement, 742·0 links; towards the south by Section 48, Conway Village Settlement, 1348·0 links; and towards the west by St. David Road, 742·0 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/429A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 2nd day of September, 1941.

Notice of Intention to issue an Order in Council changing the Purpose of Parts of a Reserve in the Canterbury Land District.

WHEREAS by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, change the purpose of any public reserve or any part thereof, and thereafter such reserve or part, as the case may be, shall be held and administered for such changed purpose:

And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto are parts of a reserve duly set apart for public recreation purposes, and it is expedient to change the purpose of the said parts to a reserve for aerodrome purposes:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby give notice, pursuant to subsection two of section seven of the said Act, that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of subsection one (a) of section seven of the said Act, declaring that the reservation over the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be changed from a reserve for public recreation purposes to a reserve for aerodrome purposes.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 4 perches, more or less, and being part of Reserve 1858, situated in Block II, Patiti Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the production, in an easterly direction, of the northern boundary of Lot 62, D.P. 4075, and distant 275·8 links from the north-eastern corner of that lot; thence easterly on the same production a distance of 128·95 links; thence south-westerly bearing 218° 51′, a distance of 1336·7 links; thence north-westerly bearing 332° 24′, a distance of 109·0 links; and thence north-easterly bearing 38° 51′, a distance of 1212·76 links, to the point of commencement. Also all that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 0 roods 10 perches, more or less, and being part of Reserve 1858, situated in the Borough of Timaru, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point being distant 500·8 links, bearing 76° 21′ 11″ from the north-eastern corner of Lot 62, Deposit Plan 4075; thence north-easterly a distance of 40·0 links bearing 38° 51′; thence easterly generally by right lines parallel to and 100·0 links distant from the northern boundary of the said Reserve 1858, 281·8 links, 1004·7 links, 308·4 links, 401·7 links, 671·4 links, 759·9 links, and 823·8 links; thence south-easterly a distance of 25·8 links, bearing 225° 31′; and thence westerly generally by right lines parallel to and 125·0 links distance from the northern boundary of the said Reserve 1858, 812·7 links, 734·2 links, 677·3 links, 428·9 links, 303·3 links, 995·5 links, and 310·3 links to the point of commencement. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/11/81D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 2nd day of September, 1941.
