Whangarei Milk Delivery Scheme 1941, approved.

Office of the Minister of Supply,
Wellington, 15th August, 1941.

PURSUANT to Regulation 3 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Supply, being satisfied that all the vendors of milk (otherwise than by sale over the counter) in the district specified in the scheme referred to in the Schedule hereto are parties to the scheme or have been given an opportunity of becoming parties thereto, doth hereby approve the said scheme.


SCHEDULE.

WHANGAREI MILK DELIVERY SCHEME 1941.

  1. For the purposes of the scheme—
    “The commodity” means milk, and includes cream :
    “The district” means the Borough of Whangarei as delineated by the demarcation of zones on the plan, but exclusive of the zone marked thereon “Open Zone” :
    “The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. 3289.
  2. The scheme shall come into operation on the fourteenth day following the date of the publication in the Gazette of notice of the approval of the scheme by the Minister of Supply.
  3. The persons entitled to deliver the commodity in the district and the extent to which they are so entitled are as follows:—

J. E. Henderson, Kamo Road, Whangarei In the zone numbered 2 on the plan.
E. Sothern and Co., Kamo Road, Whangarei In the zone numbered 3 on the plan.
Mrs. W. R. Fricker, Water Street, Whangarei In the zone numbered 4 on the plan.
C. R. Hilton, Maunu Road, Whangarei In the zone numbered 5 on the plan.
R. E. Meynell, Wolfe Street, Whangarei In the zone numbered 6 on the plan.
A. Main, Kamo Road, Whangarei Those seventeen customers taking approximately 220 pints of milk each week served by him during the week ended 9th September, 1940 (or an equivalent thereto) within the zone numbered 1.
W. E. H. Jackman, Park Avenue, Whangarei Those six customers taking approximately 56 pints of milk each month served by him during the week ended 9th September, 1940 (or an equivalent thereto) situated within the zone numbered 2.
L. Cooney, Morningside Road, Whangarei Those six customers taking approximately 84 pints of milk each week served by him during the week ended 9th September, 1940 (or an equivalent thereto) situated within the zone numbered 5.
W. Cleary, Otangarei Road, Whangarei Those customers in Otangarei Road served by him during the week ended 9th September, 1940, situated in zone numbered 1.

Declaring a Place to be a Prohibited Place under the Defence Emergency Regulations 1941.

PURSUANT to the Defence Emergency Regulations 1941, Regulation 19, the Minister of Defence doth hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule hereto to be a prohibited place for the purposes of the Defence Emergency Regulations 1941.


SCHEDULE.

MILITARY RESERVE AT GODLEY HEAD.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 180 acres 2 roods, more or less, and being Reserve 2055, closed road, and Crown land situated in the Borough of Sumner and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point being the north-western corner of Reserve 2055; thence easterly generally along the south side of the coastal road to its eastern end at a point being 695 links east and 210 links north of the commencing point; thence north-easterly by a right line across the said eastern end to the Pacific Ocean; thence bounded towards the north, east, and south generally by the said Pacific Ocean and Lyttelton Harbour to a point in line with the production, in a southerly direction, of the western boundary of Reserve 2055; thence northerly generally by that production and that boundary to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked Army P.P. 39, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Declaring Places to be Prohibited Places under the Defence Emergency Regulations 1941.

PURSUANT to the Defence Emergency Regulations 1941, the Minister of Defence doth hereby declare the places specified in the Schedule hereto to be prohibited places for the purposes of the Defence Emergency Regulations 1941.


SCHEDULE.

CASTOR BAY AREA.

Approximate area of land prohibited: 9 acres. Being parts Allotment 190, Takapuna Parish, situated in Block III, Rangitoto Survey District, Waitemata County (S.O. 27589), in the North Auckland Land District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked Army P.P. 9, 205/3/1, deposited in the office of Army Headquarters, Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

AREA AT WHANGAPARAOA PENINSULA.

All that area in the Waitemata County containing by admeasurement 1,285 acres, more or less, being that part of Whangaparaoa Peninsula, bounded: Commencing at a point at the south-east corner of Lot 1, D.P. 2187; towards the west by Lot 1, D.P. 2187; thence towards the north, east, and south generally by the Hauraki Gulf to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked Army P.P. 10, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

ISLANDS IN HAURAKI GULF.—MOTUTAPU AND RANGITOTO.

(1) All that area in the Hauraki Gulf, situated in Blocks I, II, V, XI, and XII, Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3,682 acres, more or less, known as Motutapu Island.

(2) All that area in the Hauraki Gulf, situated in Blocks IV, V, VII, and XI, Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement 5,650 acres, more or less, known as Rangitoto Island. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked Army P.P. 11, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

OTAKOU DEFENCE AREA.

All that land in Otakou Native Reserve, being Sections 27B, 27A, 29A, 29B, 30, 31A, 31B, and 32, Block A 1, and Sections 49 and 48 and parts of Sections 47, 46, and 45, Block A 2, together with roads thereon, bounded on the north generally by the Taiaroa Head Lighthouse area and Pacific Ocean, on the east by Pacific Ocean, on the south and south-west by the remaining portions of Sections 45, 46, and 47, Block A 2, and on the west by the Taiaroa Head Lighthouse area and Otago Harbour. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked Army P.P. 28, 205/3/1, deposited in the office of Army Headquarters, Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

MAORI HEAD DEFENCE AREA.

All that land in the Tomahawk Survey District, being Sections 19, 20, 24, and part Sections 4 and 14, Block II bounded generally on the north and north-east by a road on the east by Section 38, Block I, Tomahawk Survey District,
