to be Registrar of Electors and Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Rotorua for the purposes of the Electoral Act, 1927, and its amendments, and Returning Officer for the Rotorua Licensing District for the purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, and its amendments, on and from the 30th day of July, 1941.

Allan Bruce

to be Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Murchison for the purposes of the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, on and from the 25th day of July, 1941.

Constable Harry McNamara

to be Clerk and Bailiff of the Magistrates’ Court at Featherston for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, and Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates’ Court at Featherston, for the purposes of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926, on and from the 1st day of August, 1941.

Albert George Smith

to be Registrar of Marriages for the District of Dannevirke for the purposes of the Marriage Act, 1908, Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Dannevirke for the purposes of the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, and Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Dannevirke for the purposes of the Maori Births and Deaths Registration Regulations 1935, on and from the 21st day of July, 1941.

to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Katikati, on and from the 26th day of July, 1941.

Notice of Intention to take Land for Road in Block XII, Puketapu Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Eskdale and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land required to be taken :—

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 111508, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Robinson’s Bay and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 110825, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
