HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following promotions, appointments, and termination of appointments in the New Zealand Naval Forces:
Lieutenant-Commander (N) (Acting Commander) Charles William Medlicott Vereker, R.N., appointed H.M.S. "Leander" in continuation as Executive Officer on relief as Navigating Officer, to continue to serve in the acting rank of Commander. (Date to be reported.)
Lieutenant-Commander Frank Mountifort Beasley, R.N., lent New Zealand Naval Forces, to date 20th April, 1941, and as Staff Officer (Intelligence), Wellington, to date 14th July, 1941 (amended orders).
Lieutenant-Commander Richard James Bailey, R.N., appointed H.M.S. "Philomel " additional for passage to New Zealand and foreign service leave, to date 29th April, 1941, and H.M.S. "Philomel II" additional, temporarily, for duty at Navy Office, Wellington, and for special service, to date 23rd June, 1941.
