IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred on me by the Marriage Act, 1908, and the
Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, I, Keith Doidge
Cameron Morrison, Deputy Registrar-General, do hereby
appoint
John Patrick O'Neil
to be the Deputy of the Registrar of Marriages and of Births
and Deaths for the District of Pongaroa.

Social Security Act, 1938.βX-ray Diagnostic Services.

Wellington, 30th July, 1941.
PURSUANT to section 79 of the Social Security Act,
1938, I, Arnold Henry Nordmeyer, Minister of Health
for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby determine that
benefits provided by the Social Security (X-ray Diagnostic
Services) Regulations 1941, will be available throughout
New Zealand on and after the 11th day of August, 1941.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the City of Dunedin for
Housing Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section
32 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the land
described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And
notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land
required to be taken is deposited in the Chief Post-office at
Dunedin and is there open for inspection; and that all
persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they
have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such
land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice,
to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
32.42 perches.
Being part Lot 35, Deeds Plan 182, and Jamaica Street,
Deeds Plan 333, being part Section 13.
Situated in Block III, Upper Kaikorai Survey District
(Otago R.D.). (S.O. 3338.)
In the Otago Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 111480,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon edged yellow.
As witness my hand at Wellington, this 30th day of

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of
Postal Correspondence.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand
having reasonable ground for supposing that the person
whose name and address are shown in the Schedule here-
under is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or
scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of
the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in
favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal
packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or
any fictitious or assumed name) or addressed to the address
in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either
registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.
