CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Lands in the Nelson Land District forfeited.

Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, 23rd July, 1941.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Nelson Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Town Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 23rd July, 1941.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 25th August, 1941.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 27th August, 1941, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.

Te Kuiti Borough.—Te Kuiti Native Township.

Lot 3 of Allotment 1, Block XXVII: Area, 1 rood 18·4 perches. Capital value, £50. Half-yearly rent, £1 5s.

Weighted with £50 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising dwelling in poor condition.

The section, which is suitable for a building-site, is situated in George Street, three quarters of a mile from Te Kuiti Post-office. Water and power available.

Land in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, 23rd July, 1941.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 8th September, 1941.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Thursday, 11th September, 1941, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position and farming experience.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicants are required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and deposit on account of weighting for improvements.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.

Dannevirke County.—Mangatoro Survey District.

SECTION 7, Block II: Area, 10 acres. Capital value, £50. Deposit on deferred payments, £5: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term: ten years), £2 19s. 1d. Renewable lease: half-yearly rent, £1.


Weighted with £54 for improvements, comprising fencing, felling, and grassing. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £14, the balance may be repaid over a period of ten years by half-yearly instalments of £2 10s. 4d.

This property is situated on the Mangahei Road, about fifteen miles from Dannevirke, access being by metalled road. The soil is medium loam on a clay formation; watered by a permanent stream. The section is suitable for grazing.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Hawke’s Bay County.—Puketapu Survey District.

(Native Land Settlement Account.)

SECTION 11, Block VIII: Area, 11 acres 3 roods 32 perches. Capital value, £25. Deposit on deferred payments, £5: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term: ten years), £1 6s. 3d. Renewable lease: half-yearly rent, 12s. 6d.

Weighted with £631 for improvements, comprising dwelling, washhouse, garage, yards, plantation, fencing, and grassing. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £31, the balance may be secured on mortgage to the State Advances Corporation (term, twenty-five years); half-yearly instalments of £20 7s. 5d. reducible to £18 17s. 5d. for prompt payment. Costs and disbursements on account of the preparation, &c., of the mortgage amounting to £3 19s. will be payable by the successful applicant.

The property is about seven and a half miles from Eskdale Post-office and Railway-station, and three and a half miles from Kaiwaka School, access being by good metalled road. Soil chocolate loam on clay; watered by permanent spring. The property is suitable for a worker’s home.

Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their financial position and farming experience.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease and mortgage fees, and deposit in reduction of weighting for improvements.
