Crown Land in Wellington Land District set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same is hereby, set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—LOWER HUTT CITY.
SECTION 15, Block XXX, Hutt Valley Settlement: Area, 28·79 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of July, 1941.

Proclaiming Land in the Wellington Land District to be subject to the Hutt Valley Lands Settlement Act, 1925.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section three of the Hutt Valley Lands Settlement Act, 1925, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land in the Hutt Valley heretofore acquired by the Crown under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, shall be subject to the provisions of the Hutt Valley Lands Settlement Act, 1925.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—CITY OF LOWER HUTT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 36·4 perches, more or less, being Lot 2, D.P. 11627, being part Section 15, Hutt District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 28·7 perches, more or less, being parts Sections 12 and 14, Hutt District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District, bounded towards the south-west by Park Road, towards the north-west by Hutt Park Recreation Reserve, as shown on S.O. plan 134/111, towards the north-east by Railway land in Proclamation 2010, and towards the south-east by part Lot 1, D.P. 7217, Lot 1, D.P. 7397, and Lot 1, D.P. 3770.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods 29·5 perches, more or less, being parts of Waiwhetu Pa 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 2c, and 2b 1, and part of Section 12, Hutt District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District, bounded towards the south-west by Seaview Road, towards the north by Hutt Park Recreation Reserve, as shown on S.O. plan 134/111, towards the north-east by Park Road, and towards the south generally by part Lot 8, D.P. 3770, part Lot 3, D.P. 37, by Railway land in Proclamation 2010, and again by part Lot 3, D.P. 37.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 3 roods and 31·8 perches, more or less, being part Lot 3, D.P. 37, and part Lot 11, D.P. 3770, being parts of Section 15, Hutt District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District, bounded towards the north and west by other part Lot 3, D.P. 37, bearing 100° 16′ 24″ distance 427·93 links, and bearing 23° 22′ distance 106·14 links to Park Road; thence towards the north-east by Park Road, towards the south-east by Railway land in Proclamation 2442, and part Lot 12 on D.P. 3770, and towards the south-west by part Section 15, Hutt District, on D.P. 4310.

As the said areas are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2885, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of July, 1941.

Settlement Land in Canterbury Land District set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers under Special Tenures.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers under special tenures in the manner provided in the said Act.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
SECTION 10, Bankfield Settlement, Block XV, Otaio Survey District: Area, 131 acres 1 rood 32 perches.

Consenting to the Borrowing of Moneys by the King-country Electric-power Board by way of Bank Overdraft.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of July, 1941.

Present:

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the borrowing of moneys by the King-country Electric-power Board by way of bank overdraft under section seventy-one of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925:

And whereas it was provided by the said Order in Council that the total amount owing (including unpaid interest, if any) of moneys borrowed thereunder should not on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, exceed the sum of two thousand pounds (£2,000):

And whereas it was also provided by the said Order in Council that no moneys should be borrowed under the authority contained therein after the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one:

And whereas the amount outstanding of moneys borrowed thereunder as at the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, amounted to seven hundred and seventy-six pounds sixteen shillings and eightpence (£776 16s. 8d.):

And whereas it is expedient to authorize the said local authority to borrow further moneys by way of bank overdraft under the said section seventy-one but so that the total amount outstanding by way of bank overdraft under the said section seventy-one as at the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two (including unpaid interest, if any), shall not exceed the sum of two thousand pounds (£2,000):

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the borrowing of moneys by the said local authority under the said section seventy-one, and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—

(1) Such borrowing may be from time to time by way of bank overdraft.

(2) The rate of interest payable from time to time shall not exceed the current bank overdraft rate of interest to best customers.

(3) No moneys shall be borrowed under this authority at any time after the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two.

(4) The total amount owing (including unpaid interest, if any) of moneys borrowed by way of bank overdraft under the said section seventy-one shall not on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, exceed the sum of two thousand pounds (£2,000).
