NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
will be offered for sale for cash by public auction
at the District Lands Office, Westport, on Wednesday, 5th
March, 1941, at 10 o'clock a.m., under the provisions of the
Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.
Buller County.—Village of Seddonville.
SECTION 42: Area, 32 perches. Upset price, £160.
The upset price covers the value of the land and improvements
consisting of a six-roomed dwelling with bathroom
and wash-house.
This section is the old police reserve situated in the
Seddonville Township. The property is suitable as a home
for a person working in the vicinity.

Land in Southland Land District for Selection on Renewable
Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Invercargill, 28th January, 1941.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property
is open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 p.m.
on Tuesday, 11th March, 1941.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Thursday,
13th March, 1941, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any
applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any
other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence
of their financial position and farming experience.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is
required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit
comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent,
lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.
This property is situated within the Otago Mining District
and is offered subject to section 153 of the Land Act, 1924,
which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface
shall pertain to the lessee, whose rights shall be to the surface
soil only.

SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Wallace County.—Longwood Survey District.—Otago Mining
District.
SECTION 22 and part Section 14, Block X : Area, 213 acres
0 roods 13 perches. Capital value, £215; half-yearly rent,
£4 6s.
Weighted with £50 (payable in cash) for improvements,
comprising felling, stumping, and fencing.
This property is situated one mile and a half from Colac
Post-office and Railway-station and two miles and a half from
Longwood Dairy Factory ; access is by good, level, gravelled
road. Easy undulating land, partly broken, of light to fair
quality loam ; permanently watered by streams and springs.
Approximately 67 acres have been felled and burnt, of which
7 acres have been stumped and cultivated and 60 acres surface
sown.
