Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section one hundred and five of the
said Act, and on the recommendation of the Dominion Land
Purchase Board, and after considering the report of the
Canterbury District Land Board, do hereby declare the said
land to be subject to the said Act, to the intent that it
shall hereupon be deemed to be portion of the said Strathmore
Settlement and may be disposed of accordingly.

SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement, 487 acres
1 rood 14 perches, being part Rural Sections 28868 and 31648,
and Lot 3, Deposited Plan No. 1793, being other part of
Rural Section 28868, situated in Blocks XIII and XIV,
Hinds Survey District, and being all the land comprised in
certificate of title, Volume 314, folio 28, Canterbury Registry.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 24th day of January, 1941.

Declaring Crown Lands in Auckland Land District to be
subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto
(hereinafter referred to as the “said lands”) are
Crown lands not acquired under the Land for Settlements
Act, 1925, but are adjacent to certain lands acquired under
the said Act and known as the Fencourt Settlement and can
conveniently be disposed of therewith:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section one hundred and five of the
said Act, and on the recommendation of the Dominion Land
Purchase Board, and after considering the report of the Auckland
District Land Board, do hereby declare the said lands
to be subject to the said Act to the intent that they shall
hereupon be deemed to be portion of the said Fencourt
Settlement and may be disposed of accordingly.

Land set apart in the Otago Land District as a Site for a
Public School.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Education
Reserves Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-
General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board
of the district in which are situated any reserves or endow-
ments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two
of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, or of
section twenty-two of the first-mentioned Act, set apart
as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical
schools any part of such reserves or endowments:
And whereas the Land Board of the Otago Land District
has duly passed a resolution recommending that the land
described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a
site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to
such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a site for a public school.

SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing 9 acres 3 roods 38 perches, more or less, being part of Sections 29 and 31, Block VIII, Glenomaru Survey District, bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-eastern corner of said Section 31; thence running 360° for 470·35 links, 270° for 176·4 links, 360° for 468·8 links to the Owaka-Balclutha Main Road; thence 62° 03' 30" for 432·5 links, 80° 32' for 569·2 links, 180° for 1285·7 links to a road-line; thence 270° for 324·1 links, 360° for 50 links, and 270° for 443·25 links to the point of commencement. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 20/189A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Wellington and Southland Land Districts.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the Wellington and Southland Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
ALL those areas in the Borough of Otaki containing by admeasurement a total area of 47 acres 1 rood 34·1 perches, more or less, being Taumanuka 2A 1, 2B 9A, 2B 9B, 2B 10, 2B 11, 2B 12, 2B 13, part 2B 14, 3A, 3B 1, 3C 1, and 3D 1. As the same are more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 6/8/48A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
All that area containing by admeasurement 38·6 perches, more or less, being part Section 4, Block XCI, Town of Invercargill, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by public works and baths-site, 159·5 links; towards the east by Leven Street, 151·5 links; towards the south by part Section 4, 159·5 links; and towards the west by another part Section 4, 151·5 links; be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 6/11/59C, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
