CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Lands in the Wellington Land District forfeited.
Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, 19th June, 1941.
NOTICE is hereby given that the licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Wellington Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 9th July, 1941.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 25th August, 1941.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 27th August, 1941, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their farming experience and financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Taumarunui County.—Ongarue Survey District.
SECTION 1, Block X: Area, 752 acres. Capital value, £200. Deposit on deferred payments, £20. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term: twenty years), £7 9s. 7d. Half-yearly rent, £4.
Weighted with £278 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising dwelling, cottage and garage and outbuildings, fencing, and clearing.
This property is situated on Okauaka Road, nine miles from Waimiha Post-office, Railway-station, School, and cream-collection depot; access is by means of metalled road. Undulating to hilly country with steep broken ridges at the back. Soil is light loam and pumice resting on rhyolite formation; watered by springs and creeks. Some 40 acres has been cleared and is in worn-out pasture, 140 acres has reverted to fern and stunted scrub, balance is in natural state. The property is badly infested with noxious weeds, and is suitable only for grazing.

Weighted with £465 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising dwelling, sheds, approximately 400 chains fencing, 250 acres felled and burned, partially reverted.
