and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary
the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan by
prescribing as follows :—
(1) In lieu of a rate of interest not exceeding four pounds
five shillings (£4 5s.) per centum per annum, as specified in
clause (2) of the said Order in Council, the rate of interest
that may be paid in respect of the said loan shall be such as
shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding
four pounds (£4) per centum per annum.
(2) In lieu of a period of two (2) years, as specified in
clause (7) of the said Order in Council, no moneys shall be
borrowed under the consent given by the said Order in Council
after the expiration of four (4) years from the date thereof.

Member appointed to Wellington Coast Artillery Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of
June, 1941.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the thirteenth
day of March, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-four, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-
second day of that month, the control of the land described
in the Schedule to that document, being part of a military
reserve, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were
by the said Order in Council constituted a special Board, by
the name of the Wellington Coast Artillery Board, in pur-
suance of section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains,
and National Parks Act, 1928 :

And whereas it is desirable that Major Colin Arthur
Williamson should be appointed a member of the said
Board in place of the Officer Commanding, 15th Coast
Battery, New Zealand Artillery (ex officio) :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him
by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby appoint the said

Major Colin Arthur Williamson

to be a member of the Wellington Coast Artillery Board,
constituted by the Order in Council dated the thirteenth
day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four,
hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Officer Com-
manding, 15th Coast Battery, New Zealand Artillery (ex
officio
).

Amendment to Polling-place under Electoral Act, 1927.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred
upon me by the Electoral Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis
Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby amend the polling-place as
shown against the electoral district the name of which
is specified in the following Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

WAITEMATA ELECTORAL DISTRICT.

BIRKENHEAD, the Victoria Hall, to be altered to Birken-
head, the Methodist Church Hall.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 4th day of July, 1941.

Warrant authorizing the Minister of Public Works to
construct a Bridge over the Oratia Stream at
Henderson (together with Approaches thereto), and
apportioning the Cost.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
me by section one hundred and thirty-five of the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers and
authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I,
Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize
the Minister of Public Works to construct the bridge
(together with approaches thereto) described in the
Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that the cost
thereof, less such contribution as may be made thereto
by the Government of New Zealand, shall be borne
by the Henderson Town Board; and I do further
direct that the cost hereby required to be borne as
aforesaid by the Henderson Town Board shall be paid
from time to time out of the funds of the said Board
within a period of one month after demand in writing
made by or on behalf of the Minister of Public Works,
and all such payments shall be made to the credit of
the Public Account and bank receipts sent to the
Chief Accountant, Public Works Department, at
Wellington.


SCHEDULE.

THAT bridge (together with approaches thereto) in the
North Auckland Land District over the Oratia Stream,
in the Henderson Town District, at the junction of
Millbrook Road with View Road. As the site of the
said bridge is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 111178, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 7th day of July, 1941.

Appointment of Member of Board of Health under the Health
Act, 1920.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Health Act, 1920, I, Cyril
Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Professor Charles Ernest Hercus, O.B.E., D.S.O., M.B.,
Ch.B., University of New Zealand, 1914,

to be a member of the said Board for three years from the
1st day of July, 1941.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 13th day of June, 1941.

Lands permanently reserved in the North Auckland, Hawke’s
Bay, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland Land Districts.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred and fifty-ninth section
of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-
General may from time to time set apart temporarily as
reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held
under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion
are required for any of the purposes in the said section
mentioned :

And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of
the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved
under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at
the expiration of one month, but not later than six months,
after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary
reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such
permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette :

And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto
were, by the Warrant dated the fifteenth day of May,
one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, and published
in the Gazette of the twenty-second day of that month, tempo-
rarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the
purposes in the Schedule of the said Warrant specified at the
end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended
to be temporarily reserved :

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by
the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands
described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes in the
said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions
of the lands so intended to be permanently reserved for
which purposes the said lands were so temporarily reserved
as aforesaid.
