ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 26 perches, more or less, being part Section 5A, Block II, Mangaorongo Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2545/3A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plans S.O 29620L and S.O. 12298s.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of July, 1941.

Authorizing the Westport Borough Council to construct, maintain, and use certain Electric-lines.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of July, 1941.

Present:

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Westport Borough Council (hereinafter with its successors and assigns referred to as “the licensee”), subject to the conditions set forth in the First Schedule hereto, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric-lines within the area described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

  1. LICENSE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.

In respect of the lines hereby authorized, the licensee shall comply with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and with any regulations made or to be made in amendment or amplification thereof or in substitution therefor. The conditions by clause 27-11 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, directed to be implied in all licenses shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this license except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

  1. PURPOSES OF LINES.

The said lines may be used for lighting, power, and heating purposes.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.

The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. Electrical energy is to be obtained from the Denniston-Westport 11 kV. line at present owned by the Westport Coal Company, Limited.

  1. DURATION OF LICENSE.

Unless sooner determined, in accordance with the provisions hereinafter expressed, this license shall continue in force until the 23rd day of February, 1967. Upon the expiry of the said term, or upon the sooner determination of this license by revocation or otherwise, all rights hereby granted to the licensee shall cease and determine; but such expiration or determination shall not relieve the licensee of any liability theretofore incurred under this license.

  1. CHARGES FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY.

The charges for electrical energy shall not exceed Is. per unit for lighting purposes, and 6d. per unit for motor-power, heating, or cooking purposes: Provided that “lighting purposes” shall include the operation of motor-generators for lighting purposes; and provided, further, that if accounts are paid within fourteen days of due date the charges shall not exceed 10d. per unit for lighting purposes and 4½d. per unit for motor-power, cooking, and heating purposes.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

Lines adapted for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described within that area in Block V, Kawatiri Survey District, Nelson Land District, comprising part Section 30, Sections 31, 32, 33, 34, part 35, part 41, Sections 42, 43, 1 of 44, 2 of 44, 45, 61, 62, and part 65, the same being more particularly shown bounded by a red line on plan P.W.D. 110564, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington; the electric-lines now erected or proposed to be erected being shown by means of green lines on the said plan.

Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Waipa Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 3451.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of July, 1941.

Present:

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any Rabbit District, may, by Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of its district :

And whereas the district known as the Waipa Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act;

And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly, notwithstanding the absence of the consent of a majority of the ratepayers in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers' list for the said district:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid:

(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,

(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE WAIPA RABBIT DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 40,006 acres approximately, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the Waipa and Puniu Rivers; thence in a south-easterly direction generally up the Puniu River to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Kakepuku No. 4D 3 Block; thence along the eastern boundaries of the Kakepuku No. 4D 3 and No. 4D 4 Blocks and the northern and eastern boundaries of Kakepuku No. 2c 3 No. 1 Block to its south-eastern corner; thence along a right line to the easternmost corner of Kakepuku No. 2c 5B No. 2 Block; thence along the generally south-western boundary of Kakepuku No. 2c 5c 3c Block and the north-western, south-western, and south-eastern boundaries of Kakepuku No. 2c 2 Block to its easternmost corner; thence along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Section 4, Block V, Puniu Survey District; thence along the eastern boundary of Section 4 aforesaid and the north-eastern boundary of Kakepuku No. 9B 3A Block to the Te Awamutu-Barton's Corner Main Road; thence along that road to its intersection by the Mangawhero Stream; thence up the Main and No. 3 Drains to the North Island Main Trunk Railway; thence in a northerly direction generally along that railway to the southern boundary of Kakepuku part No. 12 Block; thence in an easterly direction generally along the southern boundary of Kakepuku part No. 12 Block aforesaid, across a public road, the southern boundaries of Pokuru No. 2D and No. 3B 1 Blocks, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned block; thence along a right line to the south-western corner of Tokanui C No. 3 Block, and by the south-western boundary of that block to the Great South Road; thence in a south-easterly direction generally along that road to its junction with the Kawa-Kawhia Main Highway; thence along the Wharepuhunga Road to the northern boundary of Section 2, Block XV, Puniu Survey District; thence along the northern boundary of Section 2 aforesaid to its north-western
