to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Horoera, on and from the 26th day of May, 1941.

to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Poroporo, on and from the 16th day of April, 1941.

to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Whangaparaoa, on and from the 26th day of May, 1941.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Bert Laurence, of Tariki.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to John Hector Hinga, of Ohangai.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Albert Lawrence Stampa, of Okaiawa.

Classification of Roads in Whakatane County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby alter the Whakatane County Council’s proposed classification and proposed alteration in classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Whakatane County, and does hereby approve such classification and altered classification as set forth in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
WHAKATANE COUNTY.
Roads classified in Class Four: Available for the use thereon of any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle or any trailer which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 3½ tons on any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 4 tons on any one axle:—
Stanley Road.
Herepuru North Road.
Roads classified in Class Five: Available for the use thereon of any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle or any trailer which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 2½ tons on any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 3 tons on any one axle:—
Pikowhai Road.
McIvor Road.
Minginui Road (Galatea).
Matahi Road (Manawahe).
Valley Road (Galatea).
McCoy’s Road.
Rendall’s Road.

Notice of Intention to take Additional Land in Block I, Waitapu Survey District, for the Purposes of the Iron and Steel Industry Act, 1937.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Iron and Steel Industry Act, 1937, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the establishment of iron and steel works and subsidiary undertakings: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Onekaka and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 4 acres 2 roods 5 perches.
Being part Section 76, Milnthorpe Suburban.
Situated in Block I, Waitapu Survey District. (S.O. 9027.)
In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 104260, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.
