to be Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at
Levin, on and from the 13th day of May, 1941.

David Winston Christie

to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Tautoro,
on and from the 28th day of April, 1941.

Approval of a Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940.

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations
1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve,
until further notice, of the person named in Column 2 of the
Schedule hereunder being a Testing Officer under the said
regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the
said Schedule.

Excluding Streets from Limitation as to Speed imposed by the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment
Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby exclude
the streets described in the Schedule hereto from the limitation
as to speed imposed by the said section.

SCHEDULE.

SITUATED within Pukekohe Borough—

Victoria Street (all that portion from the south-western
boundary of Pukekohe Borough as now constituted to a
point 2 chains measured along the northern boundary of
the said street in a south-westerly direction from its
intersection with the western boundary of Helvetia Road,
a distance of approximately 68 chains).

Queen Street (all that portion from its intersection with
Nelson Street to a point 10 chains measured along the
eastern boundary of Queen Street in a northerly direction
from its intersection with the northern boundary of Nelson
Street).

Edinburgh Street (all that portion from its intersection with
Seddon Street to a point 20 chains measured along the
western boundary of Edinburgh Street in a southerly
direction from its intersection with the southern boundary
of Seddon Street).

Cambridge Abattoir District extended.—(Notice No. Ag. 8836.)

Office of the Minister of Agriculture,
Wellington, 23rd May, 1941.

IT is hereby notified for public information, in accordance
with the provisions of subsection (7) of section 15 of the
Meat Act, 1939, that—

  1. By deed of agreement dated the 1st day of May, 1941,
    made between the respective corporations of the Borough
    of Cambridge, the Leamington Town Board District, and
    the Counties of Waikato, Matamata, and Waipa, the abattoir
    established for the Borough of Cambridge has been made
    available for the district within the jurisdiction of the
    Leamington Town Board and for those parts of the respective
    districts within the jurisdiction of the said counties as
    hereinafter described ;

  2. The Cambridge Abattoir District, as affected by the said
    agreement, shall comprise all that area described in the
    Schedule hereto ; and,—

  3. The Council of the Borough of Cambridge shall be the
    controlling authority of the abattoir for the purposes of the
    said abattoir district described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF THE CAMBRIDGE ABATTOIR DISTRICT.

ALL that area for the time being comprised in the Borough
of Cambridge and the Leamington Town Board District ;
also all that area situate in the Waikato County being the
whole of the area of and within the Cambridge Riding of the
said county excluding therefrom that part of the said riding
westward of the Narrows-Tauwhare Road ; also all that
area situate in the Matamata County being that portion of
the said county situated to the west of the confiscation line ;
and also all that area situate in the Waipa County being that
portion of the Pukekura Riding of the said county excluding
therefrom Lot 10 on Deposited Plan No. 3933 of part of
section 225 of the Parish of Pukekura.
