Vesting a Reserve in the Matamata County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of May, 1941.

Present:

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for a hall-site: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Matamata.

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Matamata, in trust, for a hall-site.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Lots 98 and 151 on a plan numbered 15561, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and being portion of Tokoroa No. 1 Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 6/3/381, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been duly set apart for sites for children’s health camps: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the King George V Memorial Fund Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the King George V Memorial Fund Board, in trust for sites for children’s health camps.

SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 10·5 perches, more or less, being part of Section 9, Block II, Turanganui Survey District, bounded by other part of Section 9 as follows: Commencing at a point bearing 294° 27′ 46″ 91·2 links distant from the north-western corner of Cochrane Street, Borough of Gisborne; towards the south generally 294° 27′ 46″ 20·78 links, 284° 03′ 15″ 30·3 links, 279° 54′ 40″ 148·47 links, and 282° 46′ 20″ 284·58 links; towards the west 4° 05′ 310·52 links; towards the north generally 55° 37′ 21·1 links and 107° 55′ 537·7 links; and towards the east 197° 39′ 277·1 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/603, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL those areas in the Borough of Otaki containing by admeasurement a total area of 47 acres 1 rood 34·1 perches, more or less, being Taumanuka 2A 1, 2B 9A, 2B 9B, 2B 10, 2B 11, 2B 12, 2B 13, part 2B 14, 3A, 3B 1, 3C 1, and 3D 1. As the same are more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 6/8/48A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. All those areas in the Borough of Otaki containing by admeasurement a total area of 60 acres 3 roods 25·1 perches, more or less, being Taumanuka part 1, part 2A 2, 3B 2, 3C 2, part 3D 2, 3G 2, 3H 2, part 4A, 4B 1A, 4B 1B, and part 5, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 420, folio 96, Wellington Registry. As the same are more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 6/8/48A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered yellow. OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

Section 136, Block II, Teviot Survey District: Area, 10 acres 3 roods 13 perches, more or less.

Setting apart Native Land as a Native Reservation.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of May, 1941.

Present:

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section five of the Native Purposes Act, 1937, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart and reserve the Native freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Native reservation as a site for a model pa and Maori meeting-house for the common use of the aboriginal Natives who are residents of Arowhenua or who may visit Arowhenua from time to time.

SCHEDULE.

  1. ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being the whole of Section 3B, Arowhenua Village, and being part of Reserve 881, situated in Block II, Arowhenua Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in partition order dated the 2nd day of June, 1887.

  2. All that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 35·7 perches, more or less, being part of Section 18B, Arowhenua Village, and being part of Reserve 881, situated in Block II, Arowhenua Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the south by Huirapa Street 91·5 links, towards the west by Section 19B, Arowhenua Village, 252·9 links, towards the north by other part of Section 18B aforesaid 90·3 links, and towards the east by Section 3B, Arowhenua Village, 244·1 links.
