Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of a Road in Blocks XI and XII, Belmont Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto (which were taken for the Wellington–New Plymouth Railway, Tawa Flat Deviation, and which are no longer required for such purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Main Highways Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of May, 1941.

Licensing the Mount Cook and Southern Lakes Tourist Company, Limited, to use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Bob’s Cove, Lake Wakatipu, as a Site for a Jetty.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of May, 1941.

Present:
THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby license and permit the Mount Cook and Southern Lakes Tourist Company, Limited, of Queenstown (hereinafter called “the company,” which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Bob’s Cove, Lake Wakatipu, as shown on approved plan marked M.D. 6335, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such license to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

(1) This license is subject to the Foreshore License Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the license shall be fourteen years from the 26th day of April, 1941.

(3) The premium sum payable by the company shall be one pound (£1), and the annual sum so payable one pound (£1).

(4) The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said jetty shall deposit such ballast above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

Licensing the Pleasant Point Yacht Club to use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Rat Island, in the Avon Estuary, Lyttelton Harbour, as a Site for a Boat-shed and Slip.

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby license and permit the Pleasant Point Yacht Club, of South Brighton (hereinafter called “the licensee,” which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Rat Island, in the Avon Estuary, Lyttelton Harbour, as shown on approved plan marked M.D. 6319, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a boat-shed and slip as shown on the said plan, such license to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

(1) This license is subject to the Foreshore License Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the license shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of April, 1941.

(3) The premium sum payable by the licensee shall be one pound (£1), and the annual sum so payable one pound (£1).
