SPRINGS-ELLESMERE ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Springs-Ellesmere Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £3,500, known as the ‘ Housing Loan, 1939,’ authorized, pursuant to section 15 (d) of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1938, to be raised by the Springs-Ellesmere Electric-power Board under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose of acquiring land and erecting dwellings for employees of the Board, pursuant to section 122 of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, the said Springs-Ellesmere Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ninety ten-thousandths of a penny (⁹⁰⁄₁₀₀₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric-power District, comprising the whole of the counties of Ellesmere, Springs, and Paparua, parts of the Counties of Selwyn, Halswell, and Malvern, and the Town Districts of Leeston and Southbridge ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify this to be a true copy of the resolution passed at a Board meeting held on Monday, 21st April, 1941.

NOTICE is hereby given that by a special resolution of shareholders, as provided by section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, and dated the 5th day of May, 1941, it was resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily, and the undersigned was appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.

NOTICE is hereby given that by resolution in its minute-book dated the 19th May, 1941, the above company passed a resolution for a creditors’ voluntary winding up, and that a meeting of the said company will be held pursuant to sections 234 and 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, at Wellington, on Tuesday, the 27th May, 1941, at 2.30 p.m., at the office of Mr. S. E. Brown, Bethune’s Building, Feathers-ton Street, Wellington, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting creditors may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company.
