Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Foxton, the County
of Manawatu, and the Awahou Riding of the County of
Manawatu.

Wellington, 15th January, 1941.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 147 of the
Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of
the Borough of Foxton are hereby defined as set out in
the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough
having been altered by Order in Council made under the
Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, dated the 20th day of
November, 1940, and published in Gazette No. 118 of the
21st day of November, 1940 :

And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said
section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the
boundaries of the County of Manawatu affected by the said
Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Second
Schedule hereto :

And, in further pursuance of the provisions of the said
section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the
boundaries of the Awahou Riding of the County of
Manawatu affected by the said Order in Council are hereby
defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.

This notice shall take effect as on and from the 1st day of
April, 1941.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF FOXTON.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a
line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 467,
Block I, Mount Robinson Survey District; thence south-
easterly along the north-eastern boundary of said Section 467
to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 537
(Racecourse Reserve), Block I, Mount Robinson Survey
District; thence northerly to and along that boundary to
the north-western corner of Section 537; thence south-
easterly along the northern boundary of that section to the
western side of the Foxton–Himitangi Road; thence south-
westerly along the western side of that road to a point in line
with the northern boundary of Lot 30 on plan 197 deposited
in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington;
thence to and along the northern boundaries of said Lot 30,
Lot 24, the abutment of a road, and Lot 18, all of plan 197
aforesaid, and Sections 306, 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, 312, and
313, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section;
thence south-westerly along the north-western side of Spring
Street, crossing Norbiton Street to the northern side of The
Avenue; thence by a right line across The Avenue to the
north-western corner of Lot 4 on plan 10437 deposited as
aforesaid; thence south-westerly along the north-western
boundary of Lot 4 aforesaid, and the land shown on plan
A997 deposited as aforesaid, to the northern side of Cook
Street; thence by a right line across Cook Street, to the
north-eastern corner of Lot 11 on plan 2804 deposited as
aforesaid; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of
Lot 11 aforesaid to its south-eastern corner; thence north-
westerly along the southern boundaries of Lots 11 and 10 to
the north-western corner of Section 216; thence south-
westerly along the north-western boundary of said Section 216
to the northern side of Union Street; thence south-easterly
along the northern side of Union Street to a point in line
with the south-eastern side of Nye Street; thence south-
westerly along the south-eastern side of Nye Street to a
point in line with the south-western side of Purcell Street;
thence north-westerly, north-easterly, and again north-
westerly to and along the southern side of Purcell Street to
the right bank of the Manawatu River; thence northerly
generally along the right bank of the Manawatu River to a
point in line with the north-western boundary of the land
shown on plan A1875 deposited in the office of the District
Land Registrar at Wellington; thence north-easterly along
that boundary, across Lady’s Mile, and along the north-
western boundaries of Lot 1 on plan 10658 deposited as
aforesaid, and Section 467 to its northernmost corner, the
point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF MANAWATU.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point in the middle of the Rangitikei
River in line with the southern boundary of Section 99,
Township of Sandon, Block XII, Rangitoto Survey District;
thence to and along that boundary to a public road; thence
along the western side of that road to a point in line with the
southern boundary of Section 144, Mingaroa Native Reserve;
thence to and along that boundary and the northern boundary
of Sections 101, 111, and 112, Township of Sandon, to the
Mangaone Stream; thence to and along the middle of the
Mangaone Stream to the middle of the road forming the
northern and western boundaries of Section 116, Township
of Sandon, Block IX, Oroua Survey District; thence along
the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern
boundary of Section 117, Township of Sandon; thence to
and along the northern boundary of Section 117 aforesaid,
the western, northern, and eastern boundaries of Section 122,
and the northern boundaries of Sections 123, 127, and 128,
Township of Sandon; thence along the eastern boundary of
the said Section 128 to the south-western corner of Allotment
23 of Section 131, deposited plan 1235, and along the southern
boundary of the said Allotment 23 to the middle of Highfield
Road; thence along the middle of Highfield Road to the
Borough of Feilding; thence along the western and southern
boundaries of the Borough of Feilding to the Oroua River;
thence to and along the middle of the Oroua River and the
middle of the Manawatu River to the sea, and north-westerly
along the sea-coast to the mouth of the Rangitikei River;
thence to and along the middle of the Rangitikei River to a
point in line with the south-western corner of the Town
District of Bulls; thence to and along the southern and
south-eastern boundaries of the Town District of Bulls to
its easternmost corner; thence to and along the middle of
the Rangitikei River to a point in line with the southern
boundary of Section 99, Township of Sandon, the point of
commencement, excluding therefrom the Borough of Foxton.
