Notice under the National Savings Act, 1940, Section 4.
Wellington, 23rd April, 1941.
IN terms of section 4 of the National Savings Act, 1940, I, Walter Nash, Minister of Finance, hereby prescribe that the second investment period shall run from the 30th June, 1941, to the 30th June, 1942.
The rate of interest to be paid on investments made during such investment period shall be 3 per cent.
Moneys invested during such investment period by deposit in an investment account shall be repayable on the 30th day of June, 1945.
National Savings Bonds issued during such investment period shall be repayable five years after the date of issue thereof.

Wellington, 23rd April, 1941.
IN terms of section 5 of the National Savings Act, 1940, I, Walter Nash, Minister of Finance, hereby authorize the trustees of the undermentioned savings-banks (being savings-banks constituted under the Savings-banks Act, 1908) to receive investments by way of deposits in investment accounts under the National Savings Act, 1940, during the investment period expiring on the 30th June, 1942 :—
Auckland Savings-bank.
New Plymouth Savings-bank.
Dunedin Savings-bank.
Invercargill Savings-bank.

Emergency Reserve Corps Regulations 1940.—Impressment of .303 Rifles.
PURSUANT to Regulation 7B of the Emergency Reserve Corps Regulations 1940 (Serial Number 1940 (188), as amended by the Emergency Reserve Corps Regulations 1940, Amendment No. 1 (Serial Number 1941/33), the Minister of National Service doth hereby require every person who is the owner of any rifle of .303 inch calibre of whatsoever make, design, or pattern, or who has any such firearm in his possession or control, to deliver such firearm to the officer in charge at the police-station nearest to the place of residence of such person on or before the 15th day of May, 1941.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Albert Charles Hamilton, of Waimatuku.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Cyril Fitz-Williams, of Hastings.
