Rupert Leonard Tomlin to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the Meteorological Section, 2nd Field Regiment. Dated 14th March, 1941.
Reginald St. John Keenan to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), is posted to the 2nd Field Regiment, and is attached to the 23rd Light Aid Detachment, N.Z. Ordnance Corps. Dated 21st March, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant H. D. Livingstone, seconded to the Otago University Medical Company, N.Z. Medical Corps, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 24th November, 1940.
THE NEW ZEALAND SCOTTISH REGIMENT.
2nd Lieutenant E. G. Spraggon, from the Reserve of Officers, The Wellington West Coast Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority from 6th January, 1941, and is posted to the 2nd Battalion. Dated 4th April, 1941.
NATIONAL MILITARY RESERVE.
Henry George Brodie (late Captain, N.Z. Expeditionary Force), to be Captain (temp.), and is appointed to command the 15th Company (Nelson). Dated 14th March, 1941.
Lieutenant J. H. McCrea, from the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List, to be Lieutenant, and is appointed to command the 7th Company (Wairoa). Dated 23rd September, 1940.
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 24, dated 20th March, 1941, relative to Captain J. Lumley, is hereby cancelled and the following substituted:—
“Captain J. Lumley, from the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List, to be Lieutenant, and is posted to the 2nd Battalion. Dated 18th December, 1940.”
2nd Lieutenant (temp. Captain) J. McK. Gordon, M.M., 13th Company (Palmerston North), is appointed to command the Company. Dated 25th January, 1941.
N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) D. E. Wanklyn, Commanding 3rd Reserve M.T. Company, relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain, and is granted the temporary rank of Major. Dated 1st April, 1941.
CORPS OF N.Z. MILITARY POLICE.
Lieutenant L. J. Maule, from the Reserve of Officers, The Wellington Regiment (City of Wellington’s Own), to be Lieutenant, and is appointed to command the 2nd Provost Company. Dated 1st January, 1941.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and resignations of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces:—
N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.
Captain A. N. Oakey, M.C., is granted the temporary rank of Major. Dated 1st April, 1941.
Captain G. F. Vance, Officer Commanding, Guards, Vital Points, Central Military District, Wellington, is granted the temporary rank of Major while so employed. Dated 8th April, 1941.
Lieutenant C. A. Rattray is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st February, 1941.
Lieutenant H. W. Shackleford is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st March, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant E. L. Barker, Reserve of Officers (Supplementary List), to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Adjutant, No. 1 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Papakura. Dated 3rd April, 1941.
Alfred Tuller (late Imperial Army) to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Platoon Commander, Guards, Vital Points, Central Military District. Dated 8th April, 1941.
COMMANDS.
Colonel H. B. Maunsell, O.B.E., F.D., relinquishes command of the 2nd N.Z. Mounted Rifles Brigade, and is appointed to command the 4th N.Z. Mounted Rifles Brigade. Dated 29th November, 1940.
N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Lieutenant R. L. Walton, 11th Heavy Battery, 9th Heavy Regiment, resigns his commission. Dated 7th April, 1941.

Charles Gordon Johnson (late Captain, N.Z.E.F.), to be Major (temp.), and is posted to the 2nd Battalion. Dated 10th November, 1940.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) L. G. Michaels, M.M., 1st Battalion, relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain, and is granted the temporary rank of Major. Dated 15th February, 1941.
THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT (CITY OF WELLINGTON’S OWN).
Major G. N. Taylor, from the National Military Reserve, to be Major, with seniority from 1st July, 1940, is appointed to command the 2nd Battalion, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 5th January, 1941.
Major J. L. Dighton, E.D., ceases to be posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion, and is posted to the 2nd Battalion. Dated 1st January, 1941.
