CHANGE OF NAME.
NOTICE is hereby given that I, BETTY ANNE RENNER, of Pahiatua, in the Dominion of New Zealand, School-teacher, lately called BETTY FREDERICA ANNIE RENNER, have this day executed a certain deed-poll (intended to be enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand) whereby I have renounced the use of the names BETTY FREDERICA ANNIE RENNER and in lieu thereof have assumed and adopted the names BETTY ANNE RENNER.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution.
PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that at a meeting of Table Salt (N.Z.), Limited, held at the registered office of the company on the 7th day of April, 1941, the following special resolution was duly passed :—
Resolved as a special resolution—
“ 1. That the company be wound up voluntarily ;
“ 2. That, in pursuance of section 235 of the Companies Act, 1933, Mr. JOHN AINGER, of Christchurch, Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

FRIENDLY SOCIETIES ACT, 1909.
Advertisement of Cancelling.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 16th day of April, 1941, cancelled the registry of Star of Rangiora Lodge, No. 134, of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of New Zealand Friendly Society (Register No. 146/195), held at Rangiora, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

ALEXANDRA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Alexandra Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,500, authorized to be raised by the Alexandra Borough Council for the purpose of making improvements to the waterworks, the said Alexandra Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 6¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value (based on the annual value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Alexandra; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Moved by Councillor E. Russell, seconded by Councillor R. S. Kinnaird, and carried.

QUEENSTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Queenstown Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £400, authorized to be raised by the Queenstown Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for drainage and sewerage purposes, the Queenstown Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings (¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Queenstown, comprising the whole of the said borough; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Proposed by J. P. Fix, seconded by W. M. McInnes.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Queenstown Borough Council held on the 3rd day of April, 1941.

VICKERY AND INKERSELL (MANAWATU), LIMITED.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that, by resolution duly passed by the above-named company on the 10th day of April, 1941, it was resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. GEORGE GORDON PRIEST, of Palmerston North, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator of the company.

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Pohangina County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Pohangina County Council for the erection of two roadmen’s dwellings, to be known as the ‘Pohangina Roadmen’s Dwelling Loan, £1,200, 1940,’ the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixtieth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the County of Pohangina. The said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
