EYRE COUNTY COUNCIL.
THE RURAL HOUSING LOAN, 1940, £5,000.
Resolution making Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Counties Act, 1920, and the Rural Housing Act, 1939, and their amendments, and of all other powers thereunto it enabling, the Eyre County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Eyre County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of advances by the Council under the Rural Housing Act, 1939, and its amendments, the said Eyre County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth of a penny (1/16d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value based on the capital value of all rateable property in the County of Eyre; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of the resolution making special rate passed at a meeting of the above Council held at Ohoka on the 9th day of April, 1941.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RURAL HOUSING ACT, 1939.
Resolution striking Rate.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and amendments, and the Rural Housing Act, 1939, and its amendments, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and principal charges on the loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings and additions thereto, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of one penny in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Piako; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Piako County Council held in Te Aroha on Monday, the 17th day of February, 1941.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting of White’s Electric Gold Dredging Company (Barrytown), Limited, duly convened and held on the 7th day of April, 1941, the following resolution was passed:—
“ That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, and that the company be wound up voluntarily.”

STATUTORY REGULATIONS.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT OF IMPROVED SERVICE.
UNDER the Regulations Act, 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer to be published in the New Zealand Gazette, but will be supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:—
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription 30s. per annum in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 25s.
(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1) and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, 42s. per annum in advance.
(4) Separate regulations as issued.
(5) Loose-leaf binder for filing serial issues, 6s. 6d.; postage free.
The price of each regulation will be printed thereon facilitating the purchase of extra copies.
Orders on the subscription basis should be placed now with the Government Printer, Wellington, or at the Chief Post Offices at Auckland, Christchurch, or Dunedin.
THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of £3 3s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:—
Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d. increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
