Appointment of Officer under Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and Documents Act, 1919, appointed
Robert Aaron Dixon, of Brunnerton,
to be an officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act in respect of the Grey District Acclimatization District.

Sub-Lieutenant Cyril Howard Hilliard, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand), appointed H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, temporarily, for Patrol Launches, to date 26th March, 1941.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to confirm the following appointments, promotions, and relinquishments of temporary rank of officers on active service with the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas, vide List No. 20 :—
APPOINTMENTS.
Commands and Staff.
Major G. J. McNaught to be Lieutenant-Colonel, and is appointed to command the 32nd (Wellington) Battalion. Dated 5th March, 1941.
Major G. H. Heal, 2nd N.Z. Divisional Signals, is appointed Brigade Major, 5th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, and is seconded. Dated 27th February, 1941.
Major S. C. V. W. Sugden relinquishes command of the Base Reception Depot on being placed on the New Zealand Roll. Dated 9th February, 1941.
Major R. V. Closey, M.C., E.D., 24th (Auckland) Battalion, relinquishes command of Prisoner of War Camp, is appointed to command the Base Reception Depot, and is seconded. Dated 9th February, 1941.
Captain J. R. S. Sealy, 2nd N.Z. Divisional Cavalry Regiment, relinquishes the appointment of Staff Captain, 5th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, and ceases to be seconded. Dated 5th March, 1941.
Captain R. B. Dawson, 23rd (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, is appointed Staff Captain, 5th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, and is seconded. Dated 5th March, 1941.
Lieutenant E. H. Halstead, 24th (Auckland) Battalion, is appointed Archivist (temp.), 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and is seconded. Dated 10th February, 1941.
Hon. Captain J. H. Hall is appointed Public Relations Officer, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 6th March, 1941.
Lieutenant W. W. Mason, 22nd (Wellington) Battalion, is appointed Intelligence Officer, 5th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, and is seconded. Dated 5th March, 1941.
