Plants declared to be Noxious Weeds within the County of
Horowhenua.—(Notice No. Ag. 3821.)

THE following special order made by the Horowhenua
County Council on the 14th March, 1941, is published
in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds
Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the
Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Horowhenua County Council
hereby resolves and declares by way of special order that
the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto are noxious
weeds within the County of Horowhenua.

Fennel (Foeniculum Vulgare),
Hemlock (Conium Maculatum).
Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licences under
Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Taking of Fish for Sale.
APPLICATIONS have been received from G. A. and R. V.
Atkinson, Island Bay, for Industrial Fishing Licenses
in respect of the 30 ft. fishing vessel “Rangi,” using long-
lines, hand-lines, and crayfish pots, all catches to be landed
at Island Bay.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected
by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these appli-
cations, and who wishes to make representations accordingly,
must furnish them in writing not later than the 17th April,
1941.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License
under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Taking of Fish for Sale.
AN application has been received from T. R. Welsh,
Dunedin, for a variation in the conditions of his
Industrial Fishing License so as to permit the operation
of the fishing-vessel “Kismil” at Moeraki, instead of at
Taieri Mouth as previously, using long-lines, hand-lines, and
crayfish pots.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected
by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application,
and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must
furnish them in writing not later than the 17th April, 1941.

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—AUCKLAND HARBOUR.
Amended Fairway and Anchorage for Seaplanes : Buoy
established.
Previous Notice: No. 43 of 1939 (1) hereby cancelled.
Position: Lat., 36° 50'·5 S.; long., 174° 47'·2 E. (approx.).
Details: The following amended area has been established as
a fairway and anchorage for seaplanes: Commencing from the
inner end of the Eastern Breakwater; thence along the
western side of the breakwater to the lights on the north
end; thence by a line 241° 800 ft. to a red and white vertical-
striped buoy; thence by a line 179° to the breastwork,
Eastern Reclamation.

Notice to Mariners No. 9 of 1941.

Wellington, N.Z., 18th March, 1941.
NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—AUCKLAND HARBOUR.
Completion of Orakei Wave-break.—Lights established.
Previous Notices: Nos. 15, 36, and 40 of 1940 hereby
cancelled.
Position: Orakei Wharf light. Lat., 36° 50'·6 S.; long.,
174° 49' E. (approx.).
Details: The wooden wave-break of Orakei Boat Harbour
has been completed. The wave-break begins in a position
205° 375 ft. from the above light and extends 257° 45' for
approximately 4,800 ft. with an opening of about 300 ft.
beginning 1,730 ft. from the eastern end. The following lights
have been established:—
A flashing green light, flash 0-2 sec., eclipse 0-8 sec., on
eastern end of wave-break.
A flashing red light, flash 0-7 sec., eclipse 4 sec., on the
eastern side of the opening.
A flashing green light, flash 0-7 sec., eclipse 4 sec., on the
western side of the opening.
A flashing red light, flash 0-2 sec., eclipse 0-8 sec., on
western end of wave-break.
