Notice of Intention to take Land in Block IV, Taylor Pass Survey District, Marlborough County, and in the Borough of Blenheim, for Housing Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 32 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plans of the land required to be taken are deposited in the post-office at Blenheim and are there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 32 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Richmond and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 rood 15·4 perches.
Being portion of Section 25, Waimea East, being all the land in C.T. 55/81, Nelson Registry.
Situated in Block VII, Waimea Survey District (Borough of Richmond) (Nelson R.D.). (S.O. 9190.)

Notice calling up Reservists for Service Overseas.

Wellington, 1st April, 1941.
IT is hereby notified for general information that in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have this day issued to—
Alfred Freeman Jephson, Labourer, 141 St. David Street, Dunedin, Registration No. 435419, and
Edward Herbert Hearfield, Boot-repairer, 39 Garden Road, Northland, Wellington, Registration No. 436532,
notices calling them up for service overseas with the Armed Forces as being reservists of Class A of the First Division of the General Reserve, such persons having been severally convicted for that being reservists belonging to a class of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

Open Season for Imported Game and Native Game in North Canterbury Acclimatization District.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, William Edward Parry, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend the Warrant dated 28th March, 1941, made under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 27 of the 28th idem, at page 788 et seq., by deleting all that portion of such Warrant included under the heading “North Canterbury Acclimatization District,” and do hereby declare open seasons for the taking or killing of imported game and/or native game of the kinds hereinafter specified in the North Canterbury Acclimatization District as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 68 of 28th September, 1933, at page 2463, except in the areas described in Condition No. 13 hereof during the periods set forth in each case and subject in all cases to the conditions set out hereunder:—
- Season for cock pheasants: 3rd May to 18th May, 1941 (both days inclusive).
