NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the Macraeburn Mining Company, Limited, will be held on the 31st day of March, 1941, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed, and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the Registered Office, A.M.P. Chambers, Princes Street, Dunedin, on Monday, the 31st day of March, 1941, at four o’clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Napier Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, instalments of principal, and other charges on a loan known as the ‘Low Level Reservoir Supplementary Loan, 1941, of £2,500,’ to be raised for the purpose of meeting outstanding liabilities in respect of providing an additional reservoir for the storage of water on a site off Enfield Road, including the acquisition of extra land, the construction of the reservoir with all necessary pipes, fittings, and appliances incidental thereto, and all other expenses and necessary works connected therewith, and in respect of which a loan of £25,000 was authorized by a poll of ratepayers taken on the 11th day of May, 1938, and further authorized by Order in Council gazetted on page 1504 of the New Zealand Gazette No. 46 of 23rd June, 1938, and such last-mentioned loan having proved insufficient, the said Napier Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-five one thousandths (¹⁄₄₀₀₀d.) of a penny in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 17th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Napier Borough Council held in the Borough Council Chambers, Tennyson Street, Napier, on the 24th day of March, 1941, and as appearing in the minutes of such meeting.

KAPONGA TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Kaponga Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of two thousand pounds (£2,000), authorized to be raised by the Kaponga Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of electricity reticulation extensions and transmission-line improvements, the said Kaponga Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-four one hundredths of a penny (⁵⁴⁄₁₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Kaponga Town District comprising the whole of the said Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
