Appointments, Dismissal, Transfer, and Relinquishment of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

Air Department,
Wellington, 20th March, 1941.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, dismissal, transfer, and relinquishment of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force :-

GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH.

Appointment.

NZ 39857 Sergeant Thomas James Desmond Baber (attached R.A.F.), is granted a temporary commission in the rank of Pilot Officer (on prob.), with effect from 27th January, 1941, seniority from 14th February, 1941.

Dismissal.

Flying Officer Hugh Proctor Blundell was, by sentence of a General Court Martial duly confirmed and promulgated, dismissed from His Majesty’s Service. Dated 11th March, 1941.

EQUIPMENT BRANCH, SECTION II.

Appointment.

Cyril William Mace is granted a temporary commission in the rank of Flying Officer. Dated 1st April, 1941.

Transfer.

Pilot Officer Thomas Travers Newton Coleridge, B.E., A.M.I.Mech.E., A.M.I.A.E. (Temporary Commission), is transferred from the Administrative and Special Duties Branch to the Equipment Branch, Section II, and is granted the temporary rank of Flying Officer. Dated 10th March, 1941.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND SPECIAL DUTIES BRANCH.

Appointment.

Stanley Stuart McMinn is granted a temporary commission in the rank of Flying Officer. Dated 1st April, 1941.

Relinquishment.

Squadron Leader Roderick Andrew Anderson, M.C., relinquishes his commission to rejoin his regiment overseas. Dated 31st March, 1941.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman, Coromandel County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

COUNTY OF COROMANDEL.

Bridge Loan, 1940, £5,000.

PURSUANT to the provision of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Coromandel taken on the 22nd day of February, 1941, on the proposal of the said County Council to raise a loan of £5,000, the number of votes recorded was as follows :-

Votes.

For the proposal . . . 181
Against the proposal . . 125

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected, there not being the required three-fifths of the total valid votes for the proposal.

Order declaring certain Places to be prohibited Places under the Defence Emergency Regulations 1939.

I, FREDERICK JONES, Minister of Defence, in pursuance of Regulation 4 of the Defence Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 1, declare the places described in the Schedule hereto to be prohibited places for the purposes of the Defence Emergency Regulations 1939.
