SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

Otago Land District.

ALL those areas containing 5 acres, more or less, and 1 rood 26·5 perches, more or less, being parts of Section 17, Block X, Woodland Survey District.

As the same are more particularly delineated on plan 6/6/287A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow and sepia respectively.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 18th day of March, 1941.

Lands permanently reserved in the Wellington and Southland Land Districts.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred and fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at the expiration of one month, but not later than six months, after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette :

And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto were, by the Warrant dated the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, and published in the Gazette of the thirtieth day of that month, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes in the Schedule of the said Warrant specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved :

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be permanently reserved for which purposes the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL those areas in the Borough of Otaki containing by admeasurement a total area of 47 acres 1 rood 34·1 perches, more or less, being Taumanuka 2A 1, 2B 9A, 2B 9B, 2B 10, 2B 11, 2B 12, 2B 13, part 2B 14, 3A, 3B 1, 3C 1, and 3D 1. As the same are more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 6/8/48A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area containing by admeasurement 38·6 perches, more or less, being part Section 4, Block XCI, Town of Invercargill, and bounded as follows : Towards the north by public works and baths-site, 159·5 links ; towards the east by Leven Street, 151·5 links ; towards the south by part Section 4, 159·5 links ; and towards the west by another part Section 4, 151·5 links ; be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 6/11/59c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Lands permanently reserved.

And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the Warrant, the date of which is specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notification of which was published in the Gazette specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Acts for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule :

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby permanently reserve the lands so temporarily reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for which the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.
