Settlement Land in Canterbury Land District set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers under Special Tenures.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers under special tenures in the manner provided in the said Act.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Waitaki Survey District.—Waimate Settlement.

SECTION 36: Area, 275 acres.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Settlement Lands in the Canterbury Land District for Selection by Discharged Soldiers under Special Tenures.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Amendment Act, 1919, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke, except in so far as it relates to the lands described in the Schedule hereto, the Proclamation made on the twenty-second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the Gazette of the thirtieth day of October, then instant, page 3273, setting apart lands for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers under special tenures in the manner provided in the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Authorizing the Acquisition of Land notwithstanding the Provisions as to Limitation of Area.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of March, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by Daniel Vickery Bryant, of Hamilton, Farmer, Campbell Larnach MacDiarmid, of Hamilton, Solicitor, Hugh Douglas, of Hamilton, Surgeon, Richard English, of Hamilton, Public Accountant, John Thomas Bryant, of Matangi, Farmer, and Cecil Daniel Bryant, of Tauwhare, Farmer, of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XII of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

THE following parcels of land situate in the Auckland Land Registration District:

  1. All that piece of land containing 4 acres 3 roods 33 perches, more or less, being part of the block situated in Block IV of the Karioi Survey District called Whaanga No. 1A 1, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Vol. 469, folio 202, Auckland Registry: Appurtenant to which is a right-of-way over that part of Whaanga 1A 2 Block, coloured pink on the diagram, endorsed on the said certificate of title, created in and by partition order entered in Certificate of Title, Vol. 469, folio 201.

  2. All that piece of land containing 9 acres 1 rood 19 perches, more or less, being part of the block situated in Block IV of the Karioi Survey District called Whaanga No. 2B 1, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Vol. 469, folio 204, Auckland Registry.

  3. All the piece of land containing 3 acres, more or less, being part of the block situated in Block IV, Karioi Survey District, called Whaanga No. 2B No. 2, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Vol. 422, folio 262, Auckland Registry.

HIS EXCELLENCEY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.
