IN accordance with the Second Schedule to the Education Act, 1914, it is notified that Mr. William Jacobsen has been duly elected as a member of the Education Board of the district of Otago for the Urban Area.
The numbers of votes recorded in favour of the respective candidates were as follows:—

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Town Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 28th April, 1941.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 30th April, 1941, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.
Te Kuiti Borough.—Te Kuiti Native Township.
SECTION 21, Block VI: Area, 31·6 perches. Capital value, £145; half-yearly rent, £3 12s. 6d.
Weighted with £35 (payable in cash) for improvements comprising office, shed, and fencing.
A level section, suitable for building-site, situated in Taupiri Street, one quarter of a mile from Te Kuiti Post-office. Water and power available.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Canterbury Land Board, the said lands have hereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.
