TRANSFERS.
2nd Lieutenant D. G. Thomson, 19th (Wellington) Battalion, is transferred to the N.Z. Engineers, is posted to the 5th Field Park Company and carried surplus to establishment. Dated 10th August, 1940.

APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS.
Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Brigadier) L. M. Inglis, M.C., V.D., 27th (Machine Gun) Battalion, relinquishes the temporary appointment of Commander, 4th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, and is appointed to command the 6th N.Z. Infantry Brigade temporarily. Dated 27th September, 1940.
Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Colonel) W. G. Stevens relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Adjutant and Quartermaster-General, 2nd N.Z. Division and is appointed Officer i/c. Administration, Headquarters, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 1st October, 1940.
Major W. G. Gentry relinquishes the appointment of General Staff Officer (2nd Grade), 2nd N.Z. Division, is promoted to Lieutenant-Colonel and appointed Assistant Adjutant and Quartermaster-General, 2nd N.Z. Division. Dated 1st October, 1940.
Major S. M. Satterthwaite, 25th (Wellington) Battalion, relinquishes the appointment of second in command of the Battalion, and is appointed General Staff Officer (2nd Grade) (temp.), 2nd N.Z. Division. Dated 2nd October, 1940.
Major D. T. Maxwell relinquishes the appointment of Deputy Assistant Adjutant-General, 2nd N.Z. Division, and is appointed second in command, 20th (Wellington) Battalion. Dated 2nd October, 1940.
Major J. N. Peart, 18th (Auckland) Battalion, is appointed Deputy Assistant Adjutant-General (temp.), 2nd N.Z. Division. Dated 2nd October, 1940.
Colonel K. MacCormick, D.S.O., E.D., M.B., Ch.B., F.R.C.S. (Eng.), N.Z. Medical Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Director of Medical Services, 2nd N.Z. Division, and is appointed Deputy Director of Medical Services, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 1st October, 1940.
Lieutenant-Colonel H. S. Kenrick, M.B., Ch.B., F.R.C.S. (Edin.), N.Z. Medical Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Officer Commanding, 5th Field Ambulance, is appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services, 2nd N.Z. Division, and is granted the temporary rank of Colonel. Dated 1st October, 1940.
Sister M. Chisholm, N.Z. Army Nursing Service, to be Charge Sister, and is appointed Assistant Matron, No. 4 N.Z. General Hospital. Dated 1st October, 1940.

Brigadier E. Puttick, D.S.O., A.D.C. to the King, relinquishes command of New Zealand troops in Egypt, and resumed command of the 4th N.Z. Infantry Brigade. Dated 27th September, 1940.

Major A. A. Tennent, M.B., Ch.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, is appointed Deputy Assistant Director of Medical Services, 2nd N.Z. Division. Dated 19th March, 1940.
Captain G. K. Fussell, 18th (Auckland) Battalion, is appointed Deputy Assistant Adjutant-General, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and is seconded. Dated 14th October, 1940.
Captain G. P. Sanders, A.M.I.C.E., N.Z. Engineers, relinquishes the appointment of General Staff Officer (3rd Grade) (Operations), 2nd N.Z. Division, is attached to Headquarters, 4th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, and remains seconded. Dated 19th October, 1940.
