Major E. L. Button, M.B., Ch.B., F.R.C.S., is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while commanding No. 4 N.Z. General Hospital. Dated 31st July, 1940.

TEMPORARY RANK RELINQUISHED.

Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Brigadier) L. M. Inglis, M.C., V.D., relinquishes the temporary rank of Brigadier on ceasing to command the 6th N.Z. Infantry Brigade. Dated 13th October, 1940.

Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Colonel) A. S. Wilder, D.S.O., M.C., V.D., relinquishes the temporary rank of Colonel on arrival from New Zealand. Dated 29th September, 1940.

TRANSFER.

COMMANDS AND STAFF.

Lieutenant-Colonel C. S. J. Duff, N.Z. Artillery, is appointed to command the 7th Anti-tank Regiment. Dated 1st October, 1940.

Major R. C. Queree, N.Z. Artillery, is appointed Brigade Major, Headquarters, N.Z. Artillery, vice Major C. S. J. Duff. Dated 1st October, 1940.

Lieutenant-Colonel J. G. Eliott, N.Z. Engineers, is appointed to command N.Z. Forestry Group, N.Z. Engineers. Dated 6th November, 1940.

Lieutenant-Colonel L. M. Inglis, M.C., V.D., is appointed to command the Reinforcement Depot, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 27th September, 1940.

Lieutenant-Colonel (Acting Brigadier) L. M. Inglis, M.C., V.D., is appointed to command the 4th N.Z. Infantry Brigade temporarily during the absence, through illness, of Brigadier E. Puttick, D.S.O., A.D.C. to the King. Dated 11th November, 1940.

Major (Acting Lieutenant-Colonel) F. L. Hunt, 27th (Machine Gun) Battalion, is appointed to command the Reinforcement Depot, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force temporarily, vice Lieutenant-Colonel (Acting Brigadier) L. M. Inglis, M.C., V.D. Dated 11th November, 1940.

Major F. E. Dornwell, 20th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, is appointed Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and is seconded. Dated 9th November, 1940.

Captain G. P. Sanders, N.Z. Engineers, is appointed Brigade Major, 4th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, vice Major F. L. Hunt. Dated 11th November, 1940.

Captain J. S. King, 27th (Machine Gun) Battalion, is appointed Adjutant, Reinforcement Depot, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force and is seconded. Dated 27th August, 1940.

Lieutenant A. J. Crisp, 19th (Wellington) Battalion, is appointed Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General, 2nd N.Z. Division temporarily during the absence of Major A. B. Ross at Staff Course, and is seconded. Dated 1st November, 1940.

Captain M. Williams, M.R.C.S. Eng., M.R.C.P. Lond., N.Z. Medical Corps, is appointed Deputy Assistant Director of Medical Services, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 18th October, 1940.

Brigadier E. Puttick, D.S.O., A.D.C. to the King, temporarily relinquishes command of the 4th N.Z. Infantry Brigade during absence through illness. Dated 11th November, 1940.
