Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Waitaki Survey District, Canterbury Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of March, 1941.
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council,
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for police purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for police purposes to a reserve for recreation purposes.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood 35·5 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 3723, Block XIV, Waitaki Survey District, bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by the Main South Road, 588·85 links, and towards the south-west and north-west by Reserve 4426, 428·63 links and 249·65 links respectively. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/7/218F, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Arthur William Christie,
James Dunlop,
Robert Kirkland,
William Allan Davidson,
James Walter Richardson,
John Henry Rule, and
Alexandra Waters
to be the Mataura Island Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the seventeenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, at eight o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Mataura Island Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SECTIONS 52 and 53, Block VIII, Wyndham Survey District: Area, 3 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less.

Potts and Hodgson, Solicitors, Opotiki, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

FAIRLIE DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 29 acres 1 rood 27·7 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 2755, Block VII, Tengawai Survey District: Bounded towards the north-west by a road, 273 links; towards the north-east and south-west by part set aside for a power-house site, 100 and 93·3 links respectively; again towards the north-east by the Opihi River; towards the south-east by Rural Section 35416; and towards the south-west by Rural Sections 21121, 22230, and 20810. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/84, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
