MAR. 13.]\n\nTHE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.\n597\n\nSCHEDULE.\nBOUNDARIES OF THE LOCHIEL RABBIT DISTRICT.\nALL that area in the County of Southland, Southland Land\nDistrict, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point\non the left bank of the Oreti River, the said point being in\nline with the south side of Gap Road, Block VII, Winton\nHundred; thence in an easterly direction along the said Gap\nRoad to a public road forming the south-eastern boundary\nof Sections 20 and 19, Block VIII, Town of East Winton;\nthence in a north-easterly direction along the said public\nroad; thence in an easterly, north-easterly, and south-easterly\ndirection generally along another public road forming the\nsouthern boundaries of Section 19, Block VIII, Town of\nEast Winton, Sections 4, 58, 56, 5, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 32,\nBlock III, Winton Hundred, to the western boundary of\nForest Hill Hundred; thence in a southerly direction along\nthe said western boundary of Forest Hill Hundred to the\nMakarewa River; thence in a south-westerly direction\ngenerally along the said Makarewa River to the Invercargill-\nRiverton Railway; thence in a north-westerly direction\nalong the said Invercargill-Riverton Railway to the Oreti\nRiver; thence in a northerly direction along the said Oreti\nRiver to the commencing point.\n\nC. NEWALL, Governor-General.\nORDER IN COUNCIL.\nAt the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of\nMarch, 1941.\nPresent:\nWHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and\nthirty-seven of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,\na petition was presented to the Governor-General praying\nthat a certain area be excluded from the County of Hutt\nand included in the Borough of Lower Hutt:\nAnd whereas a Commission appointed under the said section\nheld inquiries and recommended that the said area with an\nalteration of boundaries thereof be excluded from the County\nof Hutt and included in the Borough of Lower Hutt:\nAnd whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alteration\nof boundaries recommended by the said Commission:\nAnd whereas by a Proclamation under section one hundred\nand thirty-four of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,\ndated the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine\nhundred and forty-one, and gazetted on the twenty-third\nday of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one,\nat page 72, the Borough of Lower Hutt was declared to be\na city as on and from the first day of February, one thousand\nnine hundred and forty-one:\nNow, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers\nand authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations\nAct, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling\nhim in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General,\nacting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive\nCouncil, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first\nday of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one,\nthe areas described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded\nfrom the County of Hutt and included in the City of Lower\nHutt.\n\nSCHEDULE.\nAREAS EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF HUTT AND INCLUDED\nIN CITY OF LOWER HUTT.\nAll that area in the Wellington Land District, Hutt County,\nbounded, commencing at a point on the existing northern\nboundary of the City of Lower Hutt at the northernmost\ncorner of Section 46, Hutt District, in a north-easterly\ndirection along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections\n48 and 51, Hutt District, to the westernmost corner of\nSection 55, Hutt District; thence in a general south-easterly\ndirection along the south-western boundary of Section 55,\nHutt District, to and along the north-western side of Main\nHutt Road to a point in line with the northern side of\nCemetery Road; thence by a right line across Main Hutt\nRoad to and along the northern side of Cemetery Road, to\nand along the northern side of Manuka Street to its junction\nwith the western side of Rimu Street; thence in a southerly\ndirection along the western side of Rimu Street, to and\nacross Rata Street, to and along the western boundary of\nLot 3 on Deposited Plan 2507, being a subdivision of part\nSection 43, Hutt District, to the south-western corner of\nthat lot; thence in an easterly direction along the southern\nboundaries of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 on Deposited Plan 2507\naforesaid, and along the southern boundaries of Lots 50 to\n56 (inclusive) on Deposited Plan 1680, being subdivisions\nof part Section 43, Hutt District, to the south-eastern corner\nof the last-mentioned lot; thence in a general south-westerly\ndirection along the north-western boundaries of Sections 439\nand 440, Hutt District, to and along the north-western\nboundary of Section 21, Lowry Bay District, to its junction\nwith the existing boundary of City of Lower Hutt at the\nnorth-eastern corner of Section 225, Hutt District; and\nthence along the general northern boundary of Borough of\nLower Hutt, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1891,\npage 131, to the northernmost corner of Section 46, Hutt\nDistrict, the point of commencement.\nAlso all that area in the Wellington Land District, Hutt\nCounty, bounded, commencing at a point on the existing\neastern boundary of City of Lower Hutt at the northernmost\ncorner of part Lot 3 on Deposited Plan 7866, being a sub-\ndivision of portion of Section 21, Lowry Bay District, in\neasterly, southerly, and westerly directions along the northern,\neastern, and southern boundaries of part Lot 3 aforesaid,\nto and along the southern boundary of Lot 3 on Deposited\nPlan 11467, being a subdivision of portion of Section 21,\nLowry Bay District, to the existing boundary of City of\nLower Hutt at the south-western corner of the last-mentioned\nlot; thence along the general eastern boundary of the Borough\nof Lower Hutt, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1891,\npage 131, to the northernmost corner of Lot 3 on Deposited\nPlan 7866, the point of commencement.\nAlso all that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded,\ncommencing at the intersection of the existing southern\nboundary of the City of Lower Hutt with the mean high-water\nmark of Port Nicholson, in a westerly direction along the\nmean high-water mark forming the southern boundary of\nland reclaimed from Port Nicholson, as shown in Survey\nOffice Plan 263/45, to the south-western corner of the said\nreclaimed land; thence in a northerly direction along the\nmean high-water mark forming the western boundary of\nthe said reclaimed land to a point in line with the southern\nside of Marine Parade, Borough of Petone; thence along\na right line to the intersection of the southern side of Marine\nParade with the western side of the western branch of Hutt\nRiver forming the boundary of the Borough of Petone;\nthence in a northerly direction generally along the boundary\nof the Borough of Petone to its junction with the boundary\nof City of Lower Hutt on the southern side of Wakefield\nStreet; and thence in easterly and southerly direction\ngenerally along the existing boundary of the Borough of\nLower Hutt, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1891,\npage 131, to the point of commencement.\nAlso all that area in the Wellington Land District, Hutt\nCounty, bounded, commencing at the intersection of the\neastern side of Gracefield Road with the existing southern\nboundary of the City of Lower Hutt, in a general south-\nwesterly direction along the south-eastern side of Gracefield\nRoad to its junction with Seaview Road; thence along a\nright line to the western side of Seaview Road; thence in\na northerly direction along the western side of Seaview Road\nto its intersection with the existing southern boundary of\nthe City of Lower Hutt; and thence in an easterly direction\nalong that boundary, as described in New Zealand Gazette,\n1891, page 131, to its intersection with the eastern side of\nGracefield Road, the point of commencement.\nAll the above-described areas are more particularly\ndelineated on the plan marked I.A. 103/5/40, deposited in\nthe office of the Department of Internal Affairs, at Wellington,\nand thereon coloured blue.\n\nC. NEWALL, Governor-General.\nORDER IN COUNCIL.\nAt the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of\nMarch, 1941.\nPresent:\nBY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities\nconferred upon me by section three of the Kauri-gum\nIndustry Amendment Act, 1915, I, Cyril Louis Norton\nNewall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,\nacting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive\nCouncil of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown\nland described in the Schedule hereto, and situated within the\nMangonui County Kauri-gum District, for the purpose of\npromoting the systematic recovery of kauri-gum and other\nvaluable products contained therein.\n\nSCHEDULE.\nNORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.\nSECTION 43, Block VII, Opoc Survey District: Area, 31 acres\n0 roods 30 perches, more or less.\n\nC.
