And whereas, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour,
am satisfied that the sale of the said goods is comprised in
the trade of a tobacconist within the said borough, and that
the signatures to such petition represent a majority of the
occupiers of all the said shops within the said borough :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 33 of the said Act,
I do hereby direct that on and after the 27th day of January,
1941, the sale of the said goods within the said borough shall
be and is hereby prohibited as follows : On Mondays, Tues-
days, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after the hour of 8 p.m.,
and on Fridays and Saturdays after the hour of 9 p.m.

Oil Fuel Retail Hours (Clifton County, Mokau and Awakino Townships) Order 1941.


PURSUANT to the Oil Fuel Retail Hours Emergency
Regulations (No. 2) 1940, and pursuant to a requisition
in writing received in that behalf, I, David Gervan McMillan,
acting for the Minister of Labour, do hereby direct as
follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Oil Fuel Retail Hours
    (Clifton County, Mokau and Awakino Townships) Order 1941.
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 20th day of
    January, 1941.
  3. This Order shall apply to all establishments engaged in
    the sale by retail of oil fuel and situate within the Clifton
    County and in the townships of Mokau and Awakino.
  4. On and after the coming into force of this Order all
    such establishments, except as hereinafter provided, shall be
    closed for the sale of oil fuel for the whole of every Sunday,
    and on every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
    shall be opened for the sale of oil fuel from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m.
    and closed at all other times on the said respective days, and
    on every Friday shall be opened for the sale of oil fuel from
    8 a.m. till 9.30 p.m. and closed at all other times on every
    Friday, and on every Saturday shall be opened for the sale
    of oil fuel from 8 a.m. till 12.30 p.m. and closed at all other
    times on every Saturday.
  5. In every successive week commencing upon the coming
    into force of this Order, and in the weekly rotation hereinafter
    set out, one of the establishments hereinafter named, in
    the township of Awakino, shall on Saturdays be closed at
    6 p.m. in lieu of 12.30 p.m., and on Sundays be opened for
    the sale of oil fuel from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m.

PURSUANT to the Oil Fuel Retail Hours Emergency
Regulations (No. 2) 1940, and pursuant to a requisition
in writing received in that behalf, I, David Gervan McMillan,
acting for the Minister of Labour, do hereby direct as
follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Oil Fuel Retail Hours
    (Taranaki and Egmont Counties) Order 1941.

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 20th day of
    January, 1941.

  3. This Order shall apply to all establishments engaged
    in the sale by retail of oil fuel and situate within the Taranaki
    and Egmont Counties (other than within a borough or
    within that portion of the Egmont County lying south and
    south-east generally of the Borough of Opunake).

  4. On and after the coming into force of this Order, all such
    establishments, except as hereinafter provided, shall be
    closed for the sale of oil fuel for the whole of every Sunday,
    and on every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
    shall be opened for the sale of oil fuel from 7.30 a.m. till
    6 p.m. and closed at all other times on the said respective
    days, and on every Friday shall be opened for the sale of
    oil fuel from 7.30 a.m. till 9.30 p.m. and closed at all other
    times on every Friday, and on every Saturday shall be opened
    for the sale of oil fuel from 7.30 a.m. till 12.30 p.m. and
    closed at all other times on every Saturday.

  5. The establishment of C. E. Dixon, Okato, shall be
    opened for the sale of oil fuel on Saturdays from 7.30 a.m.
    till 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m., that of
    C. W. Maxwell, Okato, on Saturdays from 7.30 a.m. till
    6 p.m., and that of E. F. Macrae, Rahotu, on Saturdays
    from 7.30 a.m. till 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 9 a.m. till
    5 p.m., and these establishments shall be closed at all other
    times on the said respective days.

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 20th day of
    January, 1941.
  3. This Order shall apply to all establishments engaged in
    the sale by retail of oil fuel and situate within the Borough
    of Waitara.
  4. On and after the coming into force of this Order all such
    establishments, except as hereinafter provided, shall be
    closed for the sale of oil fuel for the whole of every Sunday,
    shall on every Friday be opened for the sale of oil fuel from
    8 a.m. till 9.30 p.m., shall on every Saturday be opened for
    the sale of oil fuel from 8 a.m. till 12.30 p.m., and on every
    other day of the week shall be opened for the sale of oil fuel
    from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m., and shall be closed at all other times
    on the said respective days.
  5. In every successive week commencing upon the coming
    into force of this Order one of the establishments hereinafter
    named shall, in the weekly rotation hereinafter set out,
    be opened for the sale of oil fuel on every Sunday from 9 a.m.
    till 5 p.m., and on every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and
    Thursday shall remain open till 8 p.m. in lieu of 6 p.m., and
    on every Saturday shall remain open till 6 p.m. in lieu of
    12.30 p.m.

6. Nothing in this Order shall affect the supplying to any

person on the written authority of an officer of Police of oil
fuel that may be urgently required at any time while all of
the above-mentioned establishments are closed in pursuance
of this Order.

tion in writing received in that behalf, I, David Gervan

direct as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Oil Fuel Retail Hours
    (Inglewood) Order 1941.
  2. This Order shall apply to all establishments engaged
    in the sale by retail of oil fuel and situate within the Borough
    of Inglewood.
  3. This Order shall come into force on the 20th day of
    January, 1941.
  4. On and after the coming into force of this Order all
    such establishments, except as hereinafter provided, shall
    be opened for the sale of oil fuel on every Sunday from
    9 a.m. till 12.30 p.m., on every Friday from 8 a.m. till 9.30
    p.m., on every Saturday from 8 a.m. till 1 p.m., and on every
    other day of the week be opened for the sale of oil fuel from
    8 a.m. till 6 p.m. and closed at all other times on the said
    respective days.
  5. The establishment of Lamb’s Service Station shall, in
    addition to the times hereinbefore specified, be opened for
    the sale of oil fuel on every Sunday from 12.30 p.m. till
    5 p.m., on every Saturday from 1 p.m. till 8 p.m., and on
    every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from
    6 p.m. till 8 p.m.
