Trevor Will Hancock, Able Seaman, Official Number A/1394, as Probationary Sub-Lieutenant, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand), to date 31st December, 1940.

William Robinson Gower Reid, Able Seaman, Official Number W/3724, as Probationary Sub-Lieutenant, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand), to date 1st January, 1941.

Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon Mr. William Aitken Fairclough, M.B., Ch.B., appointed as Honorary Surgeon to the New Zealand Naval Forces.

Surgeon Lieutenant Ian Brandon Ewart, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand), promoted to Surgeon Lieutenant-Commander, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand), with seniority of 9th October, 1940.
