Captain T. Casserley, from the Reserve of Officers,
Supplementary List, to be Captain, and is posted to the

13th December, 1940.
Lieutenant C. R. G. Bassett, V.C., 1st Battalion, is transferred to the N.Z. Corps of Signals. Dated 3rd January,
1941.
2nd Lieutenant H. S. Wagstaff, 10th Company, to be
Lieutenant. Dated 1st July, 1940.
2nd Lieutenant T. C. Laidlow, D.C.M., 11th Company, is
granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated
22nd November, 1940.
Frederick Campbell Daniels (late British Expeditionary
Force) to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is posted to the 13th
Company (Hastings). Dated 21st November, 1940.
2nd Lieutenant J. McK. Gordon, M.M., from the Reserve
of Officers, Supplementary List, to be 2nd Lieutenant, is
posted to 12th Company (Palmerston North), and is
granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 13th

Arthur Beresford Sturtevant, M.B., Ch.B., to be Lieutenant,
Northern Military District (unattached), and is granted
the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 31st January,

Neil Colquhoun Begg, M.B., Ch.B., to be Lieutenant, and
is posted to the Otago University Medical Company,
N.Z. Medical Corps. Dated 1st February, 1941.
James Jackson Crawshaw, M.B., Ch.B., to be Lieutenant,
Southern Military District (unattached), and is granted
the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st February,
1941.
John Dickie, M.B., Ch.B., to be Lieutenant, and is posted
to the Otago University Medical Company, N.Z.M.C.

John Upham Williams, M.D., to be Lieutenant, Southern
Military District (unattached), and is granted the
temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st February, 1941.
Lieutenant C. S. Murray, M.B., Ch.B., from the Reserve of
Officers, to be Lieutenant, is granted the temporary rank
of Captain, and is attached to the 4th Battalion, National
Military Reserve, Dated 3rd February, 1941.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.
The Reverend P. Ginisty, Chaplain, 4th Class (Roman
Catholic), is retired, he having left the Dominion. Dated
6th February, 1941.

N.Z. ARMY LEGAL DEPARTMENT.
Major A. B. Sievwright, from the Reserve of Officers, The
Wellington Regiment (City of Wellington’s Own), to be

Appointment of the Footwear Plan Industrial Committee
under the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

PURSUANT to section 10 of the Industrial Efficiency
Act and to Regulation 6 of the Industrial Efficiency
(Footwear) Regulations 1941, I, Daniel Giles Sullivan,
Minister of Industries and Commerce, do hereby give public
notice of my intention to appoint members of an Industrial
Committee in connection with the footwear manufacturing
industry as defined in the Industry Licensing (Footwear-manufacture) Notice 1939, and do hereby call upon persons
engaged in the said industry and licensed in that behalf by
the Bureau of Industry to submit to me in writing not later
than the 27th day of March, 1941, nominations of the names
of persons to represent licensees on the proposed Industrial
Committee as provided for in the above regulations.

Given under my hand at Wellington, this 6th day of
March, 1941.
