IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Health Act, 1920, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby reappoint

The Honourable John Alexander, C.M.G., M.L.C.,
Sir James Sands Elliott, Kt., M.D., Edin.,
Muriel Emma Bell, M.D., Univ. N.Z., 1925, and
George Alexander Monk, Esquire, J.P.,

as members of the Board of Health under the aforesaid Act for a period of three years.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 1st day of March, 1941.

Warrant appointing Conciliation Commissioner under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by section forty of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Clifford Lorrie Hunter.

to be a Conciliation Commissioner under and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act; appointment to date from the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 26th day of February, 1941.

Appointments, Promotions, and Transfers of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, and transfers of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force:—

GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH.

Appointment.

Henry Piet Drury van Asch is granted a temporary commission in the Reserve of Officers, Section II, Class A, in the rank of Flying Officer, dated 27th January, 1941.

Promotions.

Acting Flight Lieutenant John Adams, D.F.C., to be Acting Squadron Leader, dated 27th January, 1941.

The undermentioned Pilot Officers (on prob.) are confirmed in their rank and granted the rank of Flying Officer, dated 14th February, 1941 :—

Henry Rodolph Wigley (Temporary Commission).
Donald Ernest Hopwood (Temporary Commission).
Robert Wilson McSkimming (Temporary Commission).
Richard Akitio Armstrong (Temporary Commission).

Transfer.

Flying Officer Robert Porter (Temporary Commission) is posted to the Reserve of Officers, Section I, Class A, dated 24th February, 1941.

Cancellation.

The entry on page 146 of the New Zealand Gazette No. 6 of 30th January, 1941, relating to the granting of a temporary commission to Henry Vincent Harris, is hereby cancelled.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND SPECIAL DUTIES BRANCH.

Appointments.

Edward William Alan Drake is granted a temporary commission in the rank of Pilot Officer (on prob.), dated 11th February, 1941.

Robert Douglas Brown is granted a temporary commission in the Reserve of Officers, Section II, Class B, in the rank of Pilot Officer, dated 27th January, 1941.

Appointments and Promotions of Officers on Active Service with the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force Overseas.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to confirm the following appointments and promotions of Officers on Active Service with the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas, vide Routine Order No. 17, 1941 :—

8TH BRIGADE, 2ND NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.

20th Field Company, N.Z. Engineers.

Lieutenant (temp.) H. M. Scott is granted the temporary rank of Captain on being appointed second in command, 20th Field Company, N.Z. Engineers. Dated 23rd January, 1941.

Training Battalion.

Major (temp.) F. W. Voelcker, M.C., 30th Infantry (Mixed) Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while commanding 8th Brigade Training Battalion. Dated 23rd January, 1941.

Lieutenant P. B. Allen, 30th Infantry (Mixed) Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Captain while holding the appointment of Company Commander in Training Battalion. Dated 23rd January, 1941.

Lieutenant P. C. Griffiths, 29th Infantry (Mixed) Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Captain while holding the appointment of Company Commander in Training Battalion. Dated 23rd January, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) E. K. Norman, 29th Infantry (Mixed) Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant while acting as Adjutant, Training Battalion. Dated 23rd January, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) N. S. Triggs, 30th Infantry (Mixed) Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant while acting as Quartermaster, Training Battalion. Dated 23rd January, 1941.

29th Infantry (Mixed) Battalion.

Captain (temp.) J. V. M. Cauty, M.M., Officer Commanding “A” Company, is granted the temporary rank of Major to complete establishment. Dated 23rd January, 1941.

Lieutenant (temp.) E. S. Clarke, second in command “B” Company, is granted the temporary rank of Captain to complete establishment. Dated 23rd January, 1941.
