Notice of Creditors’ Voluntary Winding Up.
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 3rd day of February, 1941, the above-named company duly resolved as an extraordinary resolution, by way of entry in the minute-book, as provided by section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933—
" (1) That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it be advisable to wind up, and that the company be wound up voluntarily.
" (2) That, JOHN JOSEPH HALL, of Dunedin, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby nominated as liquidator of the company."
The appointment of John Joseph Hall as liquidator was confirmed at a duly convened meeting of the creditors of the said company held on the 11th day of February, 1941.

Advertisement of Cancelling.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 19th day of February, 1941, cancelled the registry of St. Michael’s Branch, No. 883, of the Northern (N.Z.) District of the Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society (Register No. 405/13), held at Rotorua, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the company held at Auckland on the 14th day of February, 1941, the following resolution was passed :—
" That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily."
It was further resolved that JOHN CARLAW, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator.

BOROUGH OF WESTPORT.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Westport Borough Council at a meeting of the said Council, held on Wednesday, the 15th day of January, 1941, at 8 p.m.
Present: His Worship the Mayor in the chair, and Councillors Ridsdale, Taylor, Fairbairn, Nahr, Radford, Caldwell, O’Dea, and Stowell. Councillor Thomas was granted leave of absence.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Westport Borough Council resolves as follows :—
" That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000), authorized to be raised by the Westport Borough Council under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing a new Town Hall and Municipal Offices and furnishing same, the said Westport Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Westport, comprising the whole of the Borough of Westport; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and payable yearly on the 20th day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
Proposed by Councillor O’Dea, seconded by Councillor Caldwell, and carried.
Confirmed at the meeting of the said Council held on Wednesday, the 5th day of February, 1941.
We, John McLean Robertson and Arthur Taylor, Mayor and Town Clerk of the Borough of Westport respectively, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a true and correct extract of the minutes of proceedings of the Westport Borough Council at the meeting of the said Council held on the 15th day of January, 1941, and confirmed at a further meeting held on the 5th day of February, 1941.
