Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part III), and Amendments.

WHEREAS it has been reported to the Public Trustee that WILLIAM ROBERTSON McDONALD, of London, England, a Colonel in the Indian Army, is the owner of the following property, the gross value of which is less than £1,000, namely—(a) Cash, £47; (b) all that parcel of land situate in the Provincial District of Otago, containing 1 acre 2 roods, more or less, being Lots 54, 55, 56, 57, 62, and 63, Block IV, Deeds Plan 51, Borough of Waikouaiti, Township of Hawkesbury, and being part Section 15, Block VI, Hawkesbury District, and being the whole of the land described in Certificate of Title, Vol. 301, folio 50, Otago Registry, limited as to title and area:

And whereas it is not known where the said William Robertson McDonald is, or whether he is alive or dead: And whereas it is provided by Part III of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed property), as amended by section 41 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921-22, that where the value of unclaimed real or personal property does not exceed £1,000 the Public Trustee (with the consent of the Public Trust Office Board) may, by notice in the Gazette, declare his intentions to take possession of such property and exercise the powers conferred upon him by section 87 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, without application to the Court: And whereas the said consent of the Public Trust Office Board has been duly given: Now, the Public Trustee hereby gives notice that he intends to take possession of the real and personal property above mentioned and all other property of the said William Robertson McDonald, and to exercise in respect thereof the powers conferred upon him in and by provisions of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908.

Manufacture for Sale of Rope and Twine.

APPLICATIONS have been received from the following for licenses to continue to carry on the above industry:—

(i) Donaghy’s Rope and Twine Co., Ltd., 90 Crawford Street, Dunedin.

(ii) N.Z. Woolpack and Textiles, Ltd., Foxton.

(iii) Andrews Twine Co., Ltd., Waikuku, North Canterbury.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 13th March, 1941.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Fish Retailing.

AN application has been received from F. J. Hobson, 52 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, for an extension of his license covering the sale of cooked fish at premises situated at the above address so as to include the sale of wet fish.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 13th March, 1941.

ALL that area of Native-owned land in the Waikato-Maniapoto Native Land Court District, situate in Block VI, Maramarua Survey District, and known as Onewhereo Parish Lot 72B, containing 36 acres, more or less, and being the whole of the land in Certificate of Title, Vol. 691, folio 115, Auckland Registry.
