Waitemata County Council required under Town-planning Act, 1926, to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board an extra-urban Planning Scheme.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of February, 1941.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Waitemata County Council is the responsible authority within the meaning of the Town Planning Act, 1926, of a certain rural area as defined in the said Act—namely, the Waitemata County:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that settlement is taking place within a certain defined area within the rural area aforesaid—namely, the defined area described in the Schedule hereto—at such a rate that the preparation of an extra-urban planning scheme is deemed advisable in the public interest:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Town Planning Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby require the Waitemata County Council to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the said area described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, situated in the County of Waitemata and in Block XIII, Kumeu, Block XIII, Waitemata, Blocks II and IV, Waitakere, and Blocks I, V, and VI, Titirangi Survey Districts, adjoining the Waitakere Scenic Drive.
As the same is more particularly delineated on plans numbered 31535 and 31533 blue respectively, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland, and thereon edged blue.

The Workers’ Compensation Act, 1922, and its Amendments: Declaring certain Diseases to be Diseases within the Operation of the Act.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Workers’ Compensation Act, 1922, and its amendments, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare the following diseases to be diseases within the operation of the said Act:—
Epitheliomatous cancer, or ulceration of the skin, due to tar, pitch, bitumen, mineral oil or paraffin, or any compound, product, or residue of any of these substances.
Ulceration of the corneal surface of the eye, due to tar, pitch, bitumen, mineral oil or paraffin, or any compound, product, or residue of any of these substances.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces:—
STAFF.
Major E. F. J. Reeves, M.C., N.Z. Temporary Staff, relinquishes the appointment of Area Staff Officer, No. 5 Area, Wellington, and is appointed Brigade Major, 2nd N.Z. Infantry Brigade. Dated 20th November, 1940.
Captain (temp. Major) J. G. C. Wales, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Commandant, Northern Military District School of Instruction, Narrow Neck, and is appointed Staff Officer, Training, Mobilization Camp, Papakura. Dated 7th January, 1941.
Major T. A. H. Oliphant, M.C., N.Z. Temporary Staff relinquishes the appointment of Officer Commanding No. 1 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Papakura, and is appointed Commandant, Northern Military District School of Instruction, Narrow Neck, Dated 7th January, 1941.
N.Z. PERMANENT STAFF.
Lieutenant and Quartermaster C. H. Kidman, M.M., is granted the temporary rank of Captain and Quartermaster. Dated 30th January, 1941.
W.O. I. (Staff Sergeant-Major) John James Corkill to be Lieutenant and Quartermaster (temp.), and is appointed Quartermaster, Wanganui Military Camp. Dated 29th January, 1941.
W.O. I. (Staff Sergeant-Major) Albert Edward Sharp, to be Lieutenant and Quartermaster (temp.), and is appointed Quartermaster, No. 5 Area, Wellington. Dated 1st December, 1940.
