A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Sir Michael
Myers, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the por-
tion of road in Rangitoto Survey District described in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
Approximate area of the piece of road closed: 1 rood
3-4 perches.
Adjoining Lot 2, D.P. 7036 (part Block VIII, Rangitikei
District).
Situated in Block III, Rangitoto Survey District.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 105693,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government of the Dominion of New
Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion,
this 18th day of February, 1941.

Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Sir
Michael Myers, the Administrator of the Government of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto
shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of
Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—CITY OF PALMERSTON NORTH.
All that area containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood
21-3 perches, more or less, being Section 1073, Township of
Palmerston, and Lot 29A on D.P. 1545, being portion of
Section 1072, Township of Palmerston; and being the whole
of the land comprised and described in Certificates of Title,
Volume 62, folio 86, Volume 63, folio 217, and Volume 187,
f0lio 48, Wellington Land Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand,
and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st
day of February, 1941.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me
by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Sir Michael
Myers, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be,
and the same is hereby, set apart for the purposes of Part I
of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TAUMARUNUI COUNTY.
All that area containing by admeasurement 9 acres 1 rood
27-8 perches, more or less, being part Section 1, Block XIII,
Tuhua Survey District. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1450/1301,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O.
plan 30880.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand,
and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st
day of February, 1941.

Amending a Proclamation altering Boundaries of Awatere and
Kaikoura Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the sixteenth day
of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty,
and published in the Gazette of the nineteenth day of
the same month, at page 2352 (hereinafter referred to as “ the
said Proclamation ”), the boundaries of the Awatere and
Kaikoura Counties were altered, the East Coast Riding,
Kaikoura County formed, representation of that riding fixed,
and an area included in the Flaxbourne Riding, Awatere
County:
And whereas by the said Proclamation the area described
in the Fourth Schedule thereto was added to the Flaxbourne
Riding, Awatere County:
And whereas it is expedient that a further remaining
portion of the East Coast Riding of the Awatere County not
included in the Kaikoura County should be declared to form
part of the Flaxbourne Riding of the Awatere County:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority conferred on me by the Counties Act, 1920, and of
every other power and authority vested in me in that behalf,
I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, being now
in the Flaxbourne Riding of the Awatere County, shall form
part of the Upper Awatere Riding of that County; and that
the area described in the Second Schedule hereto, being the
remaining portion of the East Coast Riding of the Awatere
County, shall form part of the Flaxbourne Riding of that
County.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA ADDED TO UPPER AWATERE RIDING, AWATERE COUNTY.
All that area in the Marlborough Land District bounded on
the east by the western boundary of Run No. 121, on the
south-east by the middle-line of the Clarence River, on the
west by the Elliot Stream, and on the north generally by the
Kaikoura Range.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
AREA ADDED TO FLAXBOURNE RIDING, AWATERE COUNTY.
All that area in the Marlborough Land District commencing
on the boundary of the Awatere County hereinbefore described,
at its junction with the eastern boundary of Section 3,
Block III, Whernside Survey District; thence northerly by
that boundary to the middle-line of the Ure River to the sea; thence
easterly by the middle-line of the Ure River to the sea; and
thence southerly and westerly by the boundaries of the
Awatere County hereinbefore described, to the point of
commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of
February, 1941.
