Varying the Determinations in respect of the Thames Valley Electric-power Board's Loan of £12,000.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of February, 1941.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the twentieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty (hereinafter called “the said Order in Council”), and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Thames Valley Electric-power Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) of the sum of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) (hereinafter called “the said sum”), being portion of a loan known as “Extension Loan, 1938, £90,000”;
And whereas the said sum has not yet been raised and it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said sum by prescribing that in lieu of making provision for the repayment of the said sum by establishing a sinking fund in respect thereof, as prescribed by clause three of the said Order in Council, the said local authority may raise the said sum upon terms of making the same, together with interest thereon, repayable by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in clause one of the said Order in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend and supplement the regulations referred to in the Schedule hereto as shown therein.

APPENDIX III.—SUBSTANTIVE RATES OF NAVAL RATINGS AND ROYAL MARINES.
Appendix III.—Subject to the provisions of Article 130 of these Regulations and Navy Order 221, the following shall be the daily rate of pay of motor mechanics in the New Zealand Naval Forces:—

SCHEDULE.
REGULATIONS FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND PAYMENT OF THE NEW ZEALAND NAVAL FORCES, 1939.
Article 65, paragraph 1 : Cancel and substitute—
Promotion to Warrant Rank.—The provisions of King's Regulations, Chapter VI, Section VIII, will generally be applied in the New Zealand Naval Forces, except that the service qualifications and age limits for promotion to warrant rank will be as follows:—
Executive Branches (that is, Gunner, Gunner (T) Boatswain, Signal Boatswain, Warrant Telegraphist) . . Candidates must be at least twenty-eight years of age, and not more than thirty-seven years of age.
Non-executive Branches (other than Writer and Supply Branches) . . Candidates must be not more than forty years of age.
Writer and Supply Branches Will be governed by special rules to be promulgated from time to time by the Naval Board.

WHEREAS by Orders in Council dated the tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in the Gazette of the twentieth day of the same month, at page 137, regulations were made fixing dues and otherwise with respect to the Hokianga Harbour and certain wharves therein:
And whereas by Order in Council dated the twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and published in the Gazette of the fifth day of the following month at page 1906, the management of the wharf at Te Karaka Point was vested in the Hokianga County Council:
And whereas it is desirable to have the hereinbefore-recited Orders in Council revoked:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Harbours Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited Orders in Council of the tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and the twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty.
