A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, Sir Michael Myers, the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for irrigation purposes ;
and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect
on and after the twenty-fourth day of February, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-one.

Declaring Lands in the Canterbury Land District to be subject
to the Provisions of Section 23 of the Reserves and other Lands
Disposal Act, 1939.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section twenty-three of the Reserves and
other Lands Disposal Act, 1939, it is enacted that
the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any lands
of the Crown to be subject to the provisions of that section
to enable certain readjustments of leases and licenses to be
carried into effect :

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the lands described
in the Schedule hereto should be subject to the provisions of
the said section :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities so conferred upon me by subsection one of
the aforesaid section twenty-three, I, Sir Michael Myers, the
Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare, that from and after
the date of gazetting hereof, the lands described in the
Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of the
said section twenty-three of the Reserves and other Lands
Disposal Act, 1939.

WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, the land enumerated in the First Column of the Schedule
hereto was temporarily reserved as an endowment for primary education, upon the date specified in the Second
Column of the said Schedule.

And whereas notice of such reservation was laid before both Houses of Parliament: And whereas the two Houses
have passed resolutions upon the dates specified in the Third Column, approving, in terms of section 362 (2) of the Land
Act, 1924, of the land being permanently set aside as an endowment for primary education :

Now, therefore, I, Sir Michael Myers, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the land enumerated in the First Column of the Schedule hereto is hereby reserved as an endowment for primary education.
