SYMONDS PROPERTIES, LIMITED.
IN LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the
matter of SYMONDS PROPERTIES, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that by entry in its minute-
book the above-named company, on the 23rd day of
December, 1940, passed a resolution for winding up and that
as the company has no debts no meeting of creditors will be
held. Mr. S. G. H. Hogg, of Pahiatua, Public Accountant,
has been appointed liquidator.

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY.
NOTICE is hereby given that Gold Star Taxis Limited,
has changed its name to White Star Rental Cars,
Limited, and that the new name was this day entered on my
Register of Companies in place of the former name.

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL ORDER APPOINTING MANAGING RATEPAYERS FOR
THE FERNRIDGE WATER-SUPPLY.
Extract from the Minutes of Proceedings of the Masterton
County Council at a Meeting of such Council held on
the 12th day of November, 1940.
Moved by Councillor P. R. Welch:-
"That, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested
in it by the Water-supply Act, 1908, the Counties Act, 1920,
and of all other Acts and powers (if any) it in that behalf
enabling, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves by
way of Special Order as follows :-
"That in terms of a requisition signed by a majority of
the ratepayers supplied by the Fernridge Water-races, the
Masterton County Council hereby appoints George Edward
Pain, Farmer, of Kaituna, Masterton; George Henry Perry,
Farmer, of Upper Plain, Masterton; Roland Maunsell Perry,
Farmer, of Fernridge, Masterton; Robert Taylforth, Farmer,
of Kaituna, Masterton; and Owen Alexander Wyeth, Farmer,
of Kaituna, Masterton, as managing ratepayers who shall
have the management on behalf of the Council of the said
water-races, and for that purpose hereby confers upon the
said managing ratepayers the powers of management pos-
sessed by the Council under sections 46 and 47 of the Water-
supply Act, 1908, and that this Special Order shall take effect
on and from the date of its notification in the New Zealand
Gazette."
Seconded by Councillor J. W. Colquhoun, and carried.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the County of Masterton was hereto affixed at
the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Masterton
County Council in the presence of--

We hereby certify that the foregoing Special Order autho-
rizing the appointment of managing ratepayers for the purpose
hereinbefore mentioned was duly passed at a special meeting
of the Masterton County Council on the 12th day of November,
1940, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the
10th day of December, 1940, such subsequent meeting being
held not sooner than the 28th day and not later than the
70th day after such special meeting, and that public notice
of the time and place fixed for such subsequent meeting,
and such Special Order, was duly given once in each of the
four weeks immediately preceding the day on which the sub-
sequent meeting was held, namely in the Wairarapa Times-
Age newspaper published at Masterton on the following
dates-13th, 20th, 27th November and 4th December, 1940.

FERNRIDGE WATER-SUPPLY.
Appointment of Managing Ratepayers.
NOTICE is hereby given that under the provisions of
section 5 of the Water-supply Amendment Act, 1913,
the Masterton County Council has appointed
George Edward Pain, Farmer, of Kaituna, Masterton;
George Henry Perry, Farmer, of Upper Plain, Masterton;
Roland Maunsell Perry, Farmer, of Fernridge, Masterton;
Robert Taylforth, Farmer, of Kaituna, Masterton ; and
Owen Alexander Wyeth, Farmer, of Kaituna, Masterton,
to act as managing ratepayers of the Fernridge Water-supply
District and has conferred upon them the powers possessed
by the Council under sections 46 and 47 of the Water-supply
Act, 1908.

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO EXECUTE WORKS AND TO
TAKE LAND.
PURSUANT to section 22 of the Public Works Act, 1928,
notice is hereby given that the Napier Borough Council
proposes under the powers conferred by the Municipal
Corporations Act, 1933, and its amendments, and section 30
of the Local Legislation Act, 1930, to execute a certain public
work-namely, the laying-out and construction of a street,
and that accordingly the lands described in the Schedule
hereto are required to be taken for the purposes of a street.
Notice is further given that a plan of the lands required to
be taken for the purposes aforesaid is deposited in the Borough
Council Chambers, Tennyson Street, Napier, and is open for
inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said work or
by the taking of the said lands who have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said work or to the taking
of the said lands must set forth their objections in writing,
and send the same to the Town Clerk at the Borough Council
Office, Tennyson Street, Napier, on or before the 3rd day of
February, 1941, being a date not less than forty days from
the first publication of this notice.
THE SCHEDULE.
28.1 perches, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 6662, being
part right-of-way on Deposited Plan 3534, part Suburban
Section 5, Napier.
Shown on the plan marked 2021, deposited for inspection
as aforesaid and thereon coloured red, and situated in the
Land District and Registration District of Hawke's Bay.
