IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held at Auckland on Friday, the 20th day of December, 1940, the following resolution was duly passed:—
“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up, and that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
Mr. MAURICE WILLIAM LING, Public Accountant, 12 National Bank Building, Fort Street, Auckland, was appointed liquidator.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that by a special resolution passed on the 13th day of December, 1940, the above company went into voluntary liquidation and the under-signed was appointed liquidator of the company.
Creditors (if any) having claims against the company are requested to furnish particulars before 24th January, 1941, and all amounts owing by debtors of the company are to be paid to the undersigned at the offices of Messrs. Silk, Hill, and Silk, Public Accountants, Wakefield Chambers, Wanganui.

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO EXECUTE WORKS AND TO TAKE LAND.
Pursuant to Section 22 of the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Napier Borough Council proposes under the powers conferred by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and its amendments, to execute a certain public work—namely, the laying out and provision of pleasure-grounds—and that, accordingly, the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for the purposes of pleasure-grounds.
Notice is further given that a plan of the lands required to be taken for the purposes aforesaid is deposited in the Borough Council Chambers, Tennyson Street, Napier, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said work or by the taking of the said lands, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said lands, must set forth their objections in writing and send the same to the Town Clerk at the Borough Council Office, Tennyson Street, Napier, on or before the 31st day of January, 1941, being a date not less than forty days from the first publication of this notice.
SCHEDULE.
Approximate area of the land required to be taken: 17 acres 2 roods 21.9 perches.
Being part Te Whare-O-Maraenui Block and part Ahuriri Lagoon Reserve and part of old bed of Tutaekuri River.
Situate in Block IV of the Heretaunga Survey District and being Lot 2 and part of Lots 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6, on Deposited Plan 4210, part Lots 3 and 6, on Deposited Plan 6187, and Lot 253, on Deposited Plan 6421.
Shown on the plan marked 2020, deposited for inspection as aforesaid, and thereon edged orange, and situated in the Land District and Registration District of Hawke’s Bay.

MOTUEKA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of the Motueka Borough Council the said Council proposes to take for street-widening purposes certain lands fronting High and Pah Streets in the Borough of Motueka; such lands comprise a strip approximately 16 ft. 6 in. in depth and extending from and including the Borough Council Chambers northwards along the western side of High Street to the northern boundary of Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 2535; and a strip approximately 5 ft. 6 in. wide from the south-western corner of High and Pah Streets and extending westwards along Pah Street to the western boundary of Lot 9 on Deposited Plan 1575; and a strip of land approximately 27 ft. 6 in. in width extending from the north-western corner of High and Pah Streets, and running westerly along the northern side of Pah Street to the western boundary of Lot 36 on Deposited Plan 1599; such lands being parts of Sections 162, 161, and 160, Native Reserves of Motueka. A plan of the land so proposed to be taken is deposited at the office of the Town Clerk, Motueka, and may be inspected between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily except Saturdays and Sundays. All persons affected by the proposed works are required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands and to send such writing within forty (40) days of the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Motueka.
