NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Taranaki Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 6th January, 1941.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 17th February, 1941.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 19th February, 1941, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their farming experience and financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Bay of Islands County.—Hukerenui Survey District.

(Exempt from payment of rent for two years.*)

SECTION 3, Block I: Area, 178 acres 1 rood 28 perches. Capital value, £130. Half-yearly rent: £2 12s.

*Exemption from payment of rent for two years is conditional on the lessee effecting improvements to the value of £15 during the concession period, in addition to the usual improvements required under the Land Act, 1924.

The section is situated on the Kawakawa-Ruapekapeka-Towai metalled road, five miles from Towai, and comprises practically all undulating to steep country in titree scrub, approximately 25 acres being ploughable. The soil is medium to heavy clay resting on sandstone formation; fairly well watered by a stream. There is very little bush left in the gully. The property is not particularly well suited for a separate unit, but would work in well with an adjoining section or as a winter run-off.

Special Conditions.—The lessee shall not cut, fell, or remove any timber standing or lying on the section without first obtaining the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands which may be given on such terms as to payment of royalty or otherwise as the Commissioner thinks fit.
