Annual Statement.

I, ROBERT KING, Trust Manager, do solemnly and sincerely declare:—

  1. That the liability of the members is limited.
  2. That the capital of the company is £1,500,000 divided into 1,500,000 shares of £1 each.
  3. That the number of shares issued is 1,500,000.
  4. That calls to the amount of £1 per share have been made, under which the sum of £1,500,000 has been received.
  5. That the amount of all moneys received on account of estates is £15,550,895 19s. 9d.
  6. That the amount of all moneys paid on account is £15,517,389 0s. 3d.
  7. That the amount of the balance held to the credit of estates under administration is £33,506 19s. 6d.
  8. That the liabilities of the company at the close of the financial year (to wit, the 31st day of May, 1940) were:—

EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Eketauna County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000), authorized to be raised by the Eketauna County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of readvances by the Council under the Rural Housing Act, 1939, and its amendments, the said Eketauna County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny (¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Eketauna; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and payable yearly on the 1st day of September, in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Rural Housing Loan, 1940, £10,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act, 1939, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine thirty-seconds pence (9/32d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of the whole of the rateable property in the County of Waitomo; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Dated this 13th day of September, 1940.

Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d. increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
