Engineers Registration.—Notice of Cancellation of Registration.
PURSUANT to the Engineers Registration Act, 1924, and the Engineers Registration Regulations, 1925, notice is hereby given that the name of Harvey Maitland Chrystall has been removed from the Register of Engineers.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Town Lands in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 17th September, 1940.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 28th October, 1940.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 30th October, 1940, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LANDS.
Hamilton Borough.—Hamilton West Town Belt.
Lot 4 of Section 16: Area, 33·32 perches. Capital value, £125; half-yearly rent, £3 2s. 6d.
Lot 6 of Section 16: Area, 1 rood 6·3 perches. Capital value, £125; half-yearly rent, £3 2s. 6d.
Section 60: Area, 30·6 perches. Capital value, £80; half-yearly rent, £2.
These are residential sections fronting Ohaupo Road within one mile of Hamilton Post-office.

Land in Canterbury Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Monday, 21st October, 1940, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Hanmer Crown Leases Act, 1928.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.
Amuri County.—Hanmer Township.—Lyndon Survey District.
Section 17, Block II: Area, 3 roods. Upset half-yearly rent, £1 10s.
Weighted with £2 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising, party, boundary, and road-boundary fencing. This section situated in the Hanmer Township, has frontage to Harrowgate Street. The section is heavily covered with broom and is broken by a gully through the front portion of the area. There is sufficient room, however, at the back of the section to provide a building-site, with access along the eastern boundary.
Term of lease: Twenty-one years with right of renewal for further terms with rentals based on fresh valuations under the provisions of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.
